Its pretty much this.
Spell damage heavy fights favour dks tank, aoe intensive favour pallys and so on.
But all of the tanks can do all of the content period.

Thats an opinion, I'm not sure though with the debuff in Icecrown Citidale. My two off tanks are a Druid and a Palidin, but never put them on the boss. Maybe I will next time and see what happens.

Worst mitigation out of all the tanks, I mean they have a nice amount of O-shit buttons, but they are lacking in the AoE threat and the damage reduction department.
Compared to druids and paladins that is, DKs are at about the same level depending on the instance.
