I really liked Glimmar's Steampunk for the terrain, but I switched to Gerudoku because everything else it had was a little hard on the eyes.
Oh god all those HD texture packs just look terrible :ohdear:
Back to work on adding all these packs.
I'm using painterly and i love it.
I like some of the goofy options.
Creepers dropping creeper eyes and using those to make creeper TNT is pretty cool.
Creeper pumpkins are also cool.
And smiling creepers and ghasts take the edge off of seeing them.
I love the painting options.
I can't wait for Christmas to come around so I can justify using the Winter theme.
Did some math, and the Terrain.PNG in the 256x texture pack would be this size, each square representing a face.

The total amount is 16777216 pixels.
This is your normal terrain.png for comparision.

The total amount is 65536 pixels.
How do I install a texture pack into Minecraft when my Minecraft.jar is missing for some reason, everything is gone, do I download Minecraft.jar again and then use it according to the steps people post?
Haven't played Minecraft in ages and probably the new update just deleted my Minecraft.jar.

Since you know where your minecraft.jar is you should backup your saves, delete everything, and run the .exe from the website. Then get your saves back in the folder, and go by the steps.
Has moderncraft been updated yet?
You should add a link to the patcher in the OP
Making a texture pack. Nothing fancy, just poking around in Photoshop.
Here's the progress so far:

Well, they should be smaller. They're cool though.

Currently my personal favorite since wombo stopped updating. Might be to simplistic for you guys judging by your reactions to Qpack though
I actually quite like this, despite me hating Qpack

call it the rubix cube pack
I wanna start working on a pack but I'm not really sure if i should keep going. I don't want to make it an total conversion, just some nice "lite" changes and such.
Sand and cobble:

Keep going or no?
Anyone know how to make grass white? Ever since the biome update, my texture pack that I've been making hasn't worked.
Anybody? :(

Certainly an improvement on the stock cobbles.
I just want to let the OP know that my pack is 32x, not 16x.
Fucking Lucidpack not being updated. :argh:

Ok so far?
now thats some sexy stone
IMO the dirt contrasts with itself a bit too much, it seems white in spots.
And smooth stones is gorgeous, but it needs a bit more...noise?
Other than that it's fantastic!
working name "LasCraft" :p

Minecraft needs to support the use of 64x64 packs without a need for a 3rd party program.

Yeah well the problem is I have everything deleted even if I didn't delete it, meaning that I have nothing there.
Where normal people would have stuff, I have absolutely nothing there and I must figure out where the hell do all my saves and stuff go if not in there.

Minecraft isn't exactly a game that looks good with anything above 32p, and some 32p packs really push it.
A lot of HD packs have really, really bad repeating texture issues.

This is silly to ask but did you change the folder with the updater?

Nails on the wood? I'm surprised i've never seen that. genius.
Misa is HD, 64 bit. I used it for a while but I'm not sure if I want to bother installing texture packs again. It's decent for those of you that are looking for a texture pack of this kind.
