I personally love Misa's 64x64 texture pack. I tried out so many after I'd been playing Minecraft for a while, and that's the one that just stuck with me. It's relatively highres, but doesn't lose the classic MC style, and I think it's got one of the best colour palettes out of any of the packs I've seen. A lot of people who make texture packs seem to pick texture for various things that they like the most, but don't really pay any attention to how each texture works with the next. So sometimes you have this realistic looking dirt and grass texture, with an absurdly bright and colourful water texture which can just look really bizarre...
I just think that Misa's pack does it right. The only thing I don't like about it is how the flowing lava texture is a completely different colour to the still lava - but that's a 10 second fix in Photoshop :)

That's so awesome. Forgive me, I haven't read into your work much yet - do you plan to run all the sounds they make through a filter to give them that robotic electronic sound? Wouldn't take too long to do, and a cyber-ish sounding sheep would be hilarious, looking like that :)

Gonna use ripped sounds from the game if there are enough. More friendly robo-sounds for the passive mobs. Creepy radio transmissions for the skeletons. I'm unsure of how I'll do zombies yet.

I'm usually not a big fan of higher resolution texture packs, and this will probably make my computer crap itself, but I [i]have[/i] to download this as soon as you finish.

What the fuck? JoliCraft doesn't show up in the Mods & Textures Menu even though I have everything in the right place.
I don't like texture packs because even if your creations look brilliant on the texture pack, it might look shit to others on vanilla. For example, using Doku RPG pack cobblestone looks great, but if you made a fort from that it might look shit to everyone else.

Tell me about it. Turning the nether materials into feasible building blocks seemed like a great idea for Gilmmar's Steampunk; but me and my friend curiously went to normal to see that our huge metal vault turned into a red, mushy pile of what.

Actually, in my opinion, some of it is turning out ugly. It's got a bad, gritty 90's FPS feel going on, for me. I kinda like it, though..
