Damnit I forgot where to go after the spiral staircase in Penthouse.
Okay I broke down and finally bought this bitch. So much for my next stealth game I play being an Assassin's Creed 2 rental :P First thing bought from the sale :woop:!
Lets play some games later. Microsnakey BTW
Send me a message on Live so I know who you are, I will probably forget otherwise.
if anyone is still interested in this, we need one more player right now for a versus game
if anyone is still interested in this, we need one more player right now for a versus game
I will play if you still need that player
Anyone else getting sudden lag which looks like FPS drops in co-op?
Does multiplayer work for the Steam version yet?
I can't connect to multiplayer... always says "couldn't reach the server" or some shit when I try to make an account.
I have two copies of this but since Vista isn't supported it won't even let me run it. :( Good thing conviction is coming out soon.
Conviction will probibly be nothing like this. Conviction's most likely going to be kind of like an action game with psudo-stealth, such as Batman Arkham Asylum mixed with MGS or something. Hell there's an ability in the game that lets you instantly kill 4 people at the same time (that you mark) in a dramatic and cinematic way. No high tech covert stealth in that.
I think that the action-movie-esque moves in Conviction will be a secondary approach to dealing with enemies, along with the traditional stealthy throat cutting tactic.
my way is to kill nobody, it's stupid that they even let you knock/kill everyone without any kind of consequence

Oh man. I remember having this shit for PS2. The co-op was great, but much too short. The story was abit more intense then I had expected, and the music.. oh god, don't even get me started. Amon Tobin is god of musicians, every piece he makes just manages to become epic. Augh. I really need to re-buy this game. Mercenary vs. Spies mode was always a blast.
Ever robbed the bank without touching anything? Without switching a light or breaking a lock? That's how men play.
Ghosting a level is ridiculously hard on most levels on the hardest difficulty setting.
Ghosting a level is ridiculously hard on most levels on the hardest difficulty setting.
And completely impossible on Bathhouse.
This is retarded. I try to play versus on Steam but I get a "CD Key is already in use" error message. Seriously, what the fuck?!
I have two copies of this but since Vista isn't supported it won't even let me run it. :( Good thing conviction is coming out soon.
With the DVD version you have to download a crack for it to work on vista, should be able to find it on gamecopyworld.com http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_splinter_cell_3.shtml#Splinter Cell 3 v1.05 [EURO] No-DVD/Fixed EXE The steam version will run fine on vista, might have to turn UAC off or run as admin though.
Ever robbed the bank without touching anything? Without switching a light or breaking a lock? That's how men play.
I did that on every mission on expert, even on bathhouse, though it's VERY hard

One of my most favourite games for the original xbox..... I think I'll go play it a little bit later.
I'm still buying it, conviction co-op looks amazing, (from the preview it sounds nothing like that)
He's probably right. But I can't see the problem in going all stealth, it's not like they'll rip it out of the game. Stealth is still there, and no doubt improved, even though that would be hard because the chaos theory stealth is excellence.

I mean like this is why we have NVGs. It ruins the immersion IMO when they search for me in the "dark" when I can clearly see them in the dark too without the NVG. There also really needs to be "scared of the dark" guards that don't blindly wander into the dark. It'll add more challenge then "hurr just shoot all the lights and then go up right next to them and knife them"
Anyone else getting sudden lag which looks like FPS drops in co-op?
and i thought i was the only one  yeah i had this problem too.

You have to alert them to be scared though of course. Your not exactly gonna get scared of going somewhere dark. Unless you know something's there.
I hope the guards still talk to each other. "Who did that?" "What did you mean 'Who did that?' Lights break on their own you know."
