As a long term PC-Gamer i find that offensive, do not group us with fucking WoW addicts!
Hey, I play on the PC when I can. I'm just saying there are people who say XBL is a rip off and then play WoW or one of it's clones. I'm not saying all PC gamers do it.
It's not as much the Xbox that is the problem, it is the community. Sure, maybe in some aspects it was good to include a headset with every 360, but all the angsty 12 year old motherfuckers get a mic and they scream, and brag, and hack and glitch and troll and flame and it just ruins the online expirience. As a (proud) PS3 owner, I only encounter a few prepubescent angry 7th graders on MW2 (back when I played that piece of shit :suicide:) and on Bad Company 2 (my currnet favorite PS3 game)or Uncharted 2 or anything else I don't encounter any. I have seen and heard all the obnoxious people in the Microsoft community and the problem doesn't exist on PS3 or on PC (although a little bit outside of steam on BF2). That, I think is the reason facepunch has a low opinion of the Xbox 360.
When Microsoft stop trying to be "innovative" with gaming they should start finding ways to sell unintrusive advertising ingame or on the Xbox Dashboard more. This way they can stop handing all the payments down to the consumer and lighten the load on our wallets a bit. Then they will truly have the best console.

Come back when you have something worthwhile to post
No, he has a legitimate point. PS3 and PC have free online play, but on Xbox 360 you have to pay. It's up to you to decide on whether or not paying $5 a month is worth it.
That's fine but the I was pointing out that comparing an p2p MMORPG is not similar to xbox live gold
I reckon the main problem that will occur to ALL consoles on the next gen of gaming will be this push towards casual games. They can only be played for about 4 hours before they are completely pointless. Designers are starting to solely care about money, not making the next great, memorable game.
I'd like to talk about these "comparisons" of graphics between games. A game on one console and the same game on the other console IS THE FUCKING SAME! THEY LOOK THE SAME (Because they are MADE to look that way), THAY SOUND THE SAME, THEY EVEN PLAY THE SAME (with the exception of the analog placement) A GAME WILL ALWAYS BE THE SAME NO MATTER WHAT CONSOLE IT IS ON! There, I vented my rage about these comparisons. I have an XBOX360, that doesn't mean I suck because I don't have other consoles. And that doesn't mean that I hate the PS3 or the Wii. My friend has a PS3, I come over and play Resistance 2 split-screen most of the time , my classmate owns a fucking Wii, I also come over and play some games. They also come over at my house, we play some GOW2 or something else.
Actually, they don't look the same, some of the games look slightly better on the 360, but then again games like FFXIII look better on the ps3. That's because xbox was there first, and xbox is like a pc from the hardware, so it's easier to make games on. Some developers, like rockstar with gta4 and rdr don't optimize their games right on the ps3, you know, the ps3 has 7 cores (as far as I know) where one core is actually beeing used, and the other cores are just for game code. Optimizing a game wrong with that hardware makes the fps fail, that's why they have to make lower graphics on the ps3. But optimizing it good, like uncharted 2 which uses 100% of alles 7 cores, makes the game look amazing.
Personally, I don't understand why so many people choose the 360, I feel the PS3 is an all around better console. Mostly the media stuff, the only thing the 360 has is that, for some reason, more people I know have one. Plus the indie game market is very nice tbh, but everything is proprietary on the 360.
When i bought my xbox 360 maybe a little over half a year ago, it had everything that a gamer would need. And it was better than the ps3. Ps3 didn't have the games, price and community i was looking for. Obviously things are changing. Ps3 seems like a good choice with free online gameplay (without service) and a blueray reader while still being affordable.
