The walls would look weird because they wouldn't fit correctly and would look really small. Don't see how you could do the designs on the corners, too. Just my opinion though...

You could put paintings on the sides to do that alternating on every other block, if the texture pack had a bright enough painting.

I might make a texture pack that turns paintings in things like blinds, panels, decorations, etc. If anyone remembers the /v/ painting texture pack back in the days of indev, they did that and it looked really nice. It had flags and what not.
