How would I go about getting a massive flat map in to singleplayer creative mode

I had a little glitch concerning my Diamond Hoe, connected to the earlier loss of work on the Western Lake Bridge Network. I dunno how it happened, but my Diamond Hoe duped itself, one in a Dobule Chest on the Bridge, and another in my inventory. How the hell did that work?

Notch and/or Jeb should add guitars to minecraft. It'd be made with strings, wood, and a stick, and you could play it by tapping numbers on your numpad.
