A band of 10 of us have a TS server and have been roaming together, so far it's a lot of fun and the gun play feels like killingfloor.
Im starting to like this game alot.
Well those were the most uneventful 20 pages I've ever read, all I manged to gather was the game is currently a utter mess. Am looking forward to giving it a go though.
So if i purchased it now would i get my key instantly or are the emails getting swarmed that i will most likely have to wait?

you have to remember it is alpha, and we are the testers for it.
It is allot of fun

It actually has gotten much better over the hours. As far as I know, most people aren't having crashing problems constantly anymore and the flashlight death squads have died down quite a bit.

Got mine instantly while they were probably at their busiest (like 40 minutes after the client was released)
I'm done for the night... My first Impressions of WarZ:
Night time is fantastic atmospherically
Daytime is nice
Zombies are OP
Drinks don't fill the thirst meter as much as they should. They only refill about 1/10-1/8 of it
Don't know about how much food refills the bar.
Sneaking around can be much better. Standing still gives you the same visibility as laying still in the grass, the amount of light on your character has no effect on stealth.
There is Stamina to consider when running for your life, I like it.
Music is cool
Zombie sounds are nice, but not fixated into a distance. They sound close when they really aren't.
Character creation is stiff, but more will be added as the days go on.
Day/Night Cycle is nice, you can set up camp and hold out for a night in game without going through a whole night irl.
About 80+% of people are dicks. When everyone started there was a flashlight massacre. EVERYONE was killing other players with the default starting weapon: The Almighty Flashlight.

Verdict buy or no buy?
Buy it
Also came across this.

Is this worth getting?
Is this worth getting?
I'd say so. the only bug I have ran into a lot is the invis zombies and sometimes I spawn with no items at all. I say buy it. I have had a blast so far and it's only the alpha.
So I spawned in a town after dumping everything but food and drink into my global inventory, and I immediately found a crossbow and a hammer. I begin sneaking through the town and I come across these windows on the side of a building and see this random survivor staring out the main door and all the zombies in the street.
I sit there watching him for about a minute wondering if I should kill him, and then the fool darts straight into the street and gets mauled to death instantly. As I begin making my way out of the town, i see these two guys with a huge zombie train getting chased into a building i know is a dead end and I can only assume they died. I'm almost out of the town and this fucker with a spiked baseball bat jumps around the corner and kills me in one hit. I didn't really have anything too valuable, but jesus that town was fucked up.
[editline]15th October 2012[/editline]
And I just realized my game was running on low all this time.
It looks much, much better at high. Pretty much half of my issues with the game are gone now.
I haven't noticed many issues in the past few hours, but damn it's hard to get on a server with some friends.
I was in some random town near the lake north of the map and someone had a 10+ zombie train following him. Needless to say, I get caught up in the running and we head off towards the lake. I think it's a smart idea to run along the dock, which is glitchy as hell. I get stuck there, beating down zombie after zombie with my hammer.
Finally unstick myself, run further up the road with my new found amigo. I give him bandages and he gives me a drink. We find a nice remote house and decide to wait the rest of nightfall over there. As we enter the property he's insta-killed by a sniper. I tell the sniper I'm friendly, no weapons etc. and he allows me entrance into the house. He apologises for killing my amigo and we decide to mourn his death and say a few words. He gives me a pistol, some candy bars and I set off on my way. Only for him to shoot me in the back of the head as I exit the building.
Goodbye my fallen comrade, wherever you are.
Is this worth getting?
Fuuuck yeah.
It's hilarious when I save flashlight survivors and they thank me by bopping me in the face with the flashlight, thinking it has the same power as before. Nope, then I murder them violently with my baseball bat.
I got to the zombie proof housing area. Very easy to fortify since one gate is already pre-blocked, other one is quite small.
Too bad the houses are locked and I found nothing at all in it.
Now, hypothetically, can I be half naked and hide in random buildings while screaming about being late for a dinner party over directional voice chat?
edit: do not ignore this question, I need answers.

here's that pioneer key giveaway I was on about a few pages back.
as I said, the last few giveaways FPers have won, 2 people won sleeping dog keys and 1 won borderlands 2. feel free to enter and hopefully someone gets lucky from here :v:
hey media tags aren't working whadda ya know
One hour till I go home, cant wait
i've found 3 mossberg 590s, a pistol, and (i feel really bad for this but i honestly thought the guy was oging to try and kill me anyway) i smacked some guy on the back of the head with the my bat and took his crossbow
but the crossbow sucks right now
I found a crossbow... with no bolts at an apc... The group I was in found a couple handguns, and hammers.
Instead of weapons, I found a ton of hats and masks.
I got too many.
Well i dont know what to say about this. Finally got around to trying it and so far i crashed once. But what the hell is with the loot? I understand they didnt want to put so much loot and make things scarce but there is a difference between scarce and fuck all. I wandered for 4 hours in game and found nothing then i died of dehydration. Nobody around me could find anything either. Zombies cant be killed with flashlights anymore which is again really horrible especially when you just started out. The interiors are still underdecorated(there is not a single furniture in most of them) So overall there is a difference between fun (killing zombies, surviving) and just running around aimlessly with no zombies in sight and then dying of dehydration because you couldnt find anything or do anything. Also didnt they say a server could hold up to 200 players? All the servers i found have a limit of 40 players. And what is with the chat? Its so awkward to use. EDIT: Apparently i didnt die of dehydration but got disconnected back to menu and i was wounded. I logged back in and got gunned down by someone. Really? I had nothing on me...

The real question is... do you have any ammo?!

First off, it's an alpha they want to figure out the best set for spawn rates.
Second, in alpha, they boosted the loot rate. First two areas I found a ton of crap. Later on, very minimal stuff.
Great, get a "no zombie hero(or something)" like crash then find out I'm dead when I get back in... haha

Well how does it work then? Do stuff respawn? If yes how long? Because as i said i found not a single item and by the time i got into some smaller town i was dying of dehydration then got shot...
I should join a clan but almost all of them want me to use teamspeak. Fuck off i have no mic and i dont want to hear your voice.

I find plenty of loot, grow some balls and go into a larger town.
Check cars too, they have a chance of loot (mostly food and water for me, sometimes painkillers). If you're complaining about not seeing many zombies, then maybe you should... head into a bigger town? Not to mention anyone can avoid zombies easily if they keep an eye open for them.
I will agree that the interiors are rather stale, but hopefully they'll decorate them more later. Even if they don't, I don't really consider it vital to having a good time.
(and the servers were only 30 when the alpha was released, they're increasing the player capacity slowly)
Soooo it's pretty good? Worth buying the pioneer pack?
yes, i think so
but prepared for crashes galore (although it's getting better already)
Yeah, I don't really see the point in shelling out $50 for legend but then again I don't have much interest in cosmetics/stronghold server(whatever that is)
[editline]16th October 2012[/editline]
Well the cosmetics are pretty neat, but you can find them.
