I been to the big city, I found a bit of items, but nothing to worthwhile, not worth the risk if you only have a flashlight to kill things with.
Best to do is go to that first police station near the initial spawn. Lots of people die there and it's easy to find their loot.
Where are you guys finding all this shit? My friends and I ran through four or five towns and found jack shit in every single one. Our best haul included one bottle of painkillers and a granola bar. Combed over APCs, Humvees, barricades, stores, gas stations, everything. My friend managed to find a pistol at the end of the night with just 13 rounds in it.
And then I come on here and other sites with people finding P90s, crossbows, sniper rifles, the works... I feel jipped :v:
I think that's 8 times i've been taken out by a flashlight now. Is every server night?

You need to be thorough. And look for places where people travel a lot at.

Wow someone back a page or two said that the alpha bugs forums were full of dumbasses, I think that might be an understatement. There is just topic after topic of people saying "hurp durp I crashed".
I want to like this, I really do.
But ive been playing for 2 hours and so far ive died around 30 times.
They really really need to find a way to stop people just bludgeoning everyone they see with their flashlights, I havent even been killed by a zombie yet.

Perhaps it should only temporarily knock back a zombie so you can quickly get around. It'd help against a single zombie, but against a group it'd be rather pointless.
And jeeze I must have amazing luck, because everyone who hasn't charged at me with a bat has been friendly. Then again, I usually don't let them follow me and I stick by myself for the most part so they never get the chance to turn on me.
I don't want to kill random players unless I really want what they have, but I also don't want to let anyone kill me because i decided to trust them.

Game is a lot of fun. Have a sig 226, mossberg and an ak in my global inventory. I honestly switch servers looking for new loot right now.
I only have a crossbow, 5 bolts, 4 flashlights, 1 bat, and 5 of 9mm magazines.
Game is a lot of fun, i have a few things to pick with it.
1 - NVG's built into your face that you can use fresh out of the womb
2 - FLASHLIGHTS
3 - Loot seems pretty sketchy at the best of times, other times you can find it just chilling in the middle of a road
4 - Stealth is near nonexistant unless you want to spend a couple of decades crouch walking behind a zombie while some bambi charges in, grabs the loot and legs it.
5 - And my biggest annoyance is the fact that we always spawn in the EXACT same place every time. (more random spawns pls)
Oh and the crashes, ooooohhhhh the crashes. They never end.
I spawned in 3 different areas so far - and yes, we do need more places to spawn!
Also is there voice chat?
I just want to cry, i bought the survivor edition in excitement without reading the preorder site things. i thought that those other two would have load of useless crap but now i cant try the alpha. I would need to buy it all over again :pwn:

I managed to find a spiked bat but tell me WHY THE FUCK WONT THE ZOMBIES DIE? Why the hell do they need like 10-20 hits with a SPIKED bat?!I mean i dont want them to be super easy but i dont find going to a zombie and then holding down the mouse button for like 20seconds before it dies very fun. And you cant avoid them. Stray zombies should be easy to kill while others should be hard. Also lagging zombies doesnt help much either... You can run but from what i noticed they seem to follow forever unless you jump on a car. And what's worse is that when you die you spawn with absoluetly nothing. Not even a flashlight or a can of coke nope. Stray zombies should be easy to kill while others should be hard. Oh and 1 bandage needs to heal you up completely. I found 3 bandages then i was 1 hit away from death and i had to use up all 3 to fully healmyself. Oh and is global inventory only a temporarly thing? It just ruins the point of surviving. I find this game fun and i'll probably play it but now? I dont know... Maybe its more fun playing with friends or with someone but i think i'll wait until beta or something with this game... However its still better than DayZ
