ugh this game keeps crashing, its annoying as fuck.

just killed a guy with a saiga and a military helmet. [editline]16th October 2012[/editline] i also just found out how to bug your way to the top of certain buildings, the problem is getting down though.

While this may be useless to ask since I'm posting in the WarZ megathread but I'm going to ask anyway. Is the game any good?

OH I FINALLY GOT INTO A SERVER! HOLY SHIT A HAMMER! 2 OF THEM *server crashes*

I finally found a hat! And water! First time finding anything. I was just about to leave the comp, so I started logging out. I was hiding in a small room with only one entrance to it. The seconds started ticking down from 10 till when I should get logged out. It comes down to 2 seconds left. I then see a character pass by the room entrance in a hurry. I became quite worried, but I believe he missed me. The seconds ticks down to 0 and I was reliefed. I though "oh, I made it", Then the countdown screen changed. It became "You'll be logged out soon.." or something close to that. Then that screen stayed. ... I could see the character that passed the door entrance a few seconds ago was slowly peeking into my room were I stood with my loot, hoping to get logged out. Another second passed and I saw him moving a little bit closer untill he was standing under the door, just staring blank at me. Then I saw the flashlight...

New character, spawn with 0 items, just none at all, immediately ganked by two guys with flashlights. The War Z experience.

I have been very lucky then.. Have not been butt fucked by a flashlight yet, managed to make it into the suburban town, went into some kind of house, then i saw a flashlight come in through the window. Quickly ran into a side room and crouched underneath a desk sort of thing. Saw the torch swing by my room and into another room, i saw my chance.. I quickly ran out of the room and out of the building before the player could notice. Fun game when its not crashing

i keep spawning without any items too, i just found a g36 though.

Is that not the idea, well it'd be good to have food supplies(stamina?, health and maybe a CQC weapon) but that should be about it but maybe I want stuff to be too realistic?), the idea is to survive and find stuff?

So is it worth buying right now? Or should i just wait

Okay, i spawn and get skullfucked by 5 men with flashlights.

Interesting situation occurred recently. I was searching a building for supplies in the main city when I heard gun shots down below. I decided to head downstairs to investigate, with only my trusty hammer to protect me, however as I was going down I noticed a object in a room. Going to investigate I discovered that it was a Shotgun! Filled with confidence I went out and saw a guy wearing a black mask with a Uzi standing on top of a car shooting at something out of my view, most likely zombies. I was only a few meters from him and if he turned slightly to hie right he would see me. After a heavy debate with myself, concerning my limited supplies, I decided with a heavy heart to execute him before he noticed me. A single shot and he fell. I waited a few moments in case he had a friend, after no activity I went over to check his body as well as who he was shooting at, seeing a small group of zombies lay near him. He had a bunch of food, water and medical supplies on him as well as the Uzi. After grabbing everything I high tailed it out of there. Say what you want about The WarZ, but that was a enthralling experience. I look foward to see what direction this game takes.

Does the flashlight even do any damage to zombies?

This game is a nightmare so far, constant crashes and restarts, only to get killed by a retard with a flashlight (I killed some other moron with a flashlight before cause he charged at me, only to run into another guy not even a minute later).

Aw man, after murdering dozens of zombies with my spiked bat, I got killed by an invisible one. Fantastic

Get into a town, see some sort of enterable building (lots of unenterable ones.. I thought they said every building would be open...), see a group of 3 people with flashlights, slwoly sneak closer, he looks at me, my game crashes... what the fuck.

Last death of the night went to a dude who went on to say I was following him. I was standing still looking at my map. He proceeded to run off, only to get shot as he left the forest.

This sounds fun, i got a guest pass for 2 days from a friend, so I can't wait to try it out :D

How was the flashlight nerfed? I did not have time to try it before the first patch. I die in two hits. That does not seem very nerfed. Did you die in one hit before? :)

Spawned in the middle of a forest, I look around... No one in sight thank God I was sure I was going to get raped in my anus with flashlights. Look around some more, I spot a small village looking area, then in the opposite direction looks like a really small military base with a few buildings. I decide to head towards the military base. I approach the base, I see a few bodies, around 7 zombies spread apart around the entire exterior of the military camp's fence. I decide to make a run for it, ran past the fence, and leaped onto a un-operable van. I look behind me and there was 3 zombies right behind me. They stand there, confused. I wait a little longer, scouting outside the camp from on top of my van to make sure no other players are going to come and butt fuck me. The zombies end up dispersing, so I run for a small little warehouse building, where there was sandbags protecting the entrance. Inside I find a few cans of food and some water. Snatch it all up, and decided to log off from there to play it later once my Brother gets home to play it with me. Overall it was a pretty nice experience for an Alpha version of a game.

I was about to cross a parking lot in the big city when I noticed three guys across the way who spotted me, and started walking in my direction. They all had their guns out, so I retreated and headed back around the corner. I watched them in third person, one guy stayed back and aimed while the other two kind of started to split off as they got closer to me. I got scared and pulled out my M4A1 (they weren't expecting this), popped around the corner, killed two guys in front and the guy in back was so surprised he only got one shot off before I dropped him. They had a LOT of loot, especially considering one of the guys had an ALICE backpack. Hoping those weren't Facepunchers. Personally, I feel like someone encroaching my position with a flashlight drawn is an act of war. The fact they all had their guns out made me real edgy, and I didn't feel like playing nice, especially since I had nice things on me they might've wanted.

Did you die in one hit before? :)[/QUOTE] If you get hit in the back of the head with a melee weapon you will die instantly. So if some flashlight warrior is bumrushing you, just face him. His flashlight will do like 3% damage per hit. If you were SMART and got your hands on a hammer or bat or something you can easily wreck his shit.
