The War Z - This IS NOT A GAME, IT'S A SCAM - Games

So I've been following this since Monday and I've been on a roller-coaster of whether or not I should go ahead and bite the bullet and get this. So it seems from what I have read the game is currently fairly unstable, but that is to be expected. Some find it fun others don't. My real question is it worth getting? Does it compare well to Dayz? If not, would it be worth waiting till Dayz Standalone? Do you think the devs will carry on supporting this? (I must say they are sitting on a gold mine, it would be stupid of them to let this go) I guess at the end of the day it could just be a laugh to see where the game ends up going. I don't know I'm still unsure.

Joined that mumble channel no one in it. Is their a vent or another mumble channel that has people in it?

God damn a crossbow bolt to the chest and hammer hits and the guy kills me first with a hatchet.

So I logged in with my friend - we were on a hill overlooking the central city. As soon as I loaded I heard gun shots, my friend swears on skype and tells me he was spawn-killed. I run to the nearest tree and look - the guy was looking over my friend's loot, back to me. I run up and kill him instantly with my bat. As it happens, he had a friend too - covering him from behind a tree. So I start getting shot at too, but fortunately the tree he was hid behind had a buggy hitbox so he didn't hit me - I ran up to his tree, circled round and went nuts with my bat on him - I managed to kill him somehow and got away (I had so little health you couldn't see any red on my character icon at all). Looted a hat, 2 sniper rifles (one empty and one with a single bullet), a whole bunch of food, bandages and melee weapons. Man those guys must have been pissed. Stashed all the weapons and supplies bar a few chocolate bars and a bat, now gonna go find my friend who respawned on the other side of the city. Hopefully we can find some sniper ammo in the city.

So Day Z is making a standalone? I don't think it will last. This game is really fun, even at buggy shit alpha. A lot of potential.

40 Uzi shots to the chest, 13 Jericho 9mm shots to the head, the guy I was shooting doesn't die. A guy runs up in front of me and hits me in th e chest with a hammer twice and I die instantly. Bullshit.

I've got myself a beta key! :D Good thing to, I didn't know if the game was worth getting. Anyone who's played it now, is it good? bad? Too early to tell?

So i hit jackpot in the city. 1 sniper rifle 1 SCAR CQC 1 AKM 1 MP7 Gass mask Threw all the weapons into global storage, kept the SCAR and MP7 for a friend. Later i got sniped when chasing some dumpling, and one of my friends got killed too. My third friend saved both our weapons. Teamwork

I'm done being nice. I could have killed a guy for his bat but I didn't. Then some dude with a mask comes and kills me. I'm not even gonna try to be nice.

I wish there was a legit way to trade with other players without walking away and getting mag lighted in the back...

Just had an encounter with 3 fully decked out dudes (no guns, but they had spiked bats, large backpacks, hats/helmets, and a lot of food/drinks). I was standing ontop of a box with a shotgun out, my friend chilling out with a metal bat below me. I called out friendly when I saw the 3 guys coming from the forest, and they all proned behind cover. I jumped off the box, and then climbed back on-top of it, only to see them dashing out of cover with spiked bats in hand. The first dude came around the corner and hit my friend, so I blasted him immediately. Unfortunately the loot exploding out of him froze my game for a sec, but thankfully I didn't crash, however it did allow the second dude to sneak around our backsides and start hitting my friend. I blasted him immediately. Last dude was on the otherside of the fence, trying to jump up and down to hit my legs with his bat. His fate was a blast to the face. My friend and I grabbed all of their gear and bailed out of that server. One of the few PvP encounters I enjoyed.
