I killed someone with a hammer that had a crossbow, a gun that started with an "S" and a fuckton of water. I pick everything up, walk out of the building feeling accomplished, then my game crashes and it says I'm dead.
Ahaha, I just spawned after giving my new character a flashlight and decided to take a new path. I found this guy running along the edge of a cliff, so i run up to him and being all sneaky. As I got closer I saw he had a sniper on his back, but before I could get a hit off (somebody said 1 hit kill if behind, wanted to see if that was true) my light gives me away and he turns around in pure shock. I managed to kill him before he could pull out his weapon and grabbed all the loot and ran off.
He dropped:
-Mauser SP66
-10 rounds extra ammo for the sniper
-Spiked bat
-Binoculars
-Red beret
-2 cans of ham
-MRE
-Medkit
That is the best loot I've ever found upon spawn.
I ran into a HUGE city, and as I was making my way to it, some dude in the distance started sprinting at me with a nail bat.
I thought "Screw this, I'm leaving, he's too far away to catch up in 10 seconds"
So I press Esc, menu takes 2 seconds to appear. I press Quit, nothing happened. Pressed it again, there we go. "Are You Sure" screen comes up, I spam the yes button. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1--

The keys are for the beta, which is a few weeks away.

Honestly, it's an awesome game even though it's only in alpha. But I would say this. Buy it now even if you don't wanna play yet. It's going to go up in price soon and then you prolly really won't wanna get it. As for DayZ, having it in ArmA II was pretty much the alpha and beta so they most likely won't have something like this. But in the end, your choice.

After having spent approximately 9 hours playing the game over three days I have been issues a refund (Instant refund if purchased through paypal), while I liked many aspects of the WarZ there is far to many things wrong with the game in its current state.
Hopefully, in a few months WarZ will have everything that was promised.
I also believe that the first wave of hacks have also hit the game.

Jesus Christ I feel like a dick. I was purousing around a town when I spotted a man with a gun and since I was almost dead I ran over and asked for a bandage. He said yeah and gave me one and then I followed him up to the police station. At this time I was pretending to be unarmed (Although I had found a metal baseball bat by a ton of flashlights earlier) and caught some zombies on my tail and called for his help. He proceeded to beat the ever living crap out of all of them, saving my behind.
We went for the exit of the compound when he turned and paused, I believe he wanted to say something but...

Don't get me wrong but that's kind of a dick move, anyone who's willing to pay for this should understand the meaning of alpha, for an alpha it is actually quite well polished from what I can see (and thanks to FrankPetrov, will be able to play on October 31st)
I'm pretty sure if you wanted to give them money again for the release version later on they'll happily let you buy the game again anyway.

I already have 3 other friends who have bought it, we're gonna set up a survivor group with just the 4 of us and shoot everyone on sight because the war z is pretty much trust no one.
Ive gotta say its probably a good idea if we get that mumble info posted into the OP, enough people play this for it to be warranted, thats if the host wants it to be used a fair amount.

Why is that stupid? They bought the game knowing that it's in alpha, of course it's going to be buggy and lacking features. To get refund just because of that is stupid.

It's stupid because IP is not a 100% way of confirming someones identity, I'm not saying prohibiting that specific user from buying the game again is stupid, I'm saying using the IP address to identify them is a bit stupid because it could or could not be them, some people have dynamic IPs that change whenever they restart their router, others have static IPs but might have a shared internet connection with other people (siblings, university residences, etc), I think you get what I'm trying to say now.
