Me and 2 other friends grouped up and headed into the city, We went into one of the buildings and looted a bunch of flares and other stuff. We were about to leave when we saw a flashlight in the distance, Everyone had a gun except for me so they waited behind the doors to shoot them as they entered. 3 jumped through the windows and the other 3 came through a door on the other side. One of my friends shot two with a shotty and the other three killed him. The other friend ran out through the window while one chased him(He survived by running around the back) The other 2 found me behind a cash register and they shot me as soon as they saw me and 3 backpacks flew out of me onto the ground. So thats how my first playthrough went
People are douchebags man.
I'll a lot of the times just get sniped though so I don't even know who kills me anymore.
Walking through forest at night, notice unusual flare placed in the middle of the road, no loot around it or anything.
My heart skips a beat as I suddenly realize the nature of my situation. I quickly switch to prone position and simultaneously a sniper shot goes off somewhere in the distance. Dem bandits are getting smarter.
Me and two friends made it safely to a safe zone and decided to log out for now. Nice to actually be safe.
So, is the $30 price tag worth it right now?
Or should I just wait until launch to get it?
Buy it while it's still discounted.
Also, found an M101 Vaccine along with a shitload of drinks and a good amount of bandages. Made it to the safezone successfully, so it's time to stash and scout once more.
There was a zombie in the lower safe zone and i couldn't do shit about it except run around until it lost interest in me.
Fucking Bandits with guns on the outside of the Safezone ring. As soon as I stepped out of the ring - BLAM! No more me.
[editline]Dammit[/editline]
Raging Pageking
At least you can get there. I just got two-hit by a zombie as I was running past it in a building.
The worst part is that I still had nearly half my health bar.
Why does everyone that plays this game have to be a fucking dickhead?
Why?
On my way to one of the safe zones, hearing mauser fire and.. what I'm assuming was a pistol as I go. Go into convenient store and wait, start hearing footsteps outside, I think I saw someone but I could just be imagining shit. Guy bursts into the room with a FN FiveSeven and just immediately starts shooting me. NOT THIS TIME YOU FUCKING TWAT [t]http://wowd.org/images/icons/Spell_Holy_SealOfMight.gif[/t] crush that piece of shits frontal lobe with a ball-peen hammer, loot him, and go back into my hidey-corner.
But wait, the rule of cocksuckers: There's always more than one. Another guy kicks in the door and starts to shoot at me, Usain Bolt it out the window, through the street, and into the woods. Back of the head by a Mauser. great.
Edit
Spawn again, find a saiga and some flares and shit. See a flashlight beam off in the distance and it's some idiot with about 10 zombies chasing him. Guy was going to die anyway, but he took the last seconds of his life to run into the building I was in and try to kill me with a flashlight. A fucking flashlight. But no, you piece of shit, that's not how it's going to end today. I caved that antisocial emo piece of shits head in but managed to get killed by the army of zombies he had following him. Seriously, if you play this game just to kill people, you should literally kill yourself.
Found a mossberg, a SHIT TON of supplies and a hammer and had no idea I have to stash it at a post office...welp back t o fearing for my life again...
So, I was in what is known as K-Town to some. I was hiding near a burnt out car near the APC.
A guy was helping a new player out and found an M16. Another guy came to town and went into the hardware store and shot up a zombie that chased him. M16 than headed toward the new guy and shot him up when he left.
I got up and ran after the M16 guy, got up to him as he was checking the dead guy's loot. I bashed his head open with my only item, a hammer.
I got 2 mausers, a Jericho, M16, a few hats, a medium backpack, and about 20 extra consumable items.
I ditched the town and went to the safe zone. As I left, the new player that M16 was assisting asks where did he go and wanted help.
I just ran and ran. Feel like a dick to the new guy, but M16 guy shot some random guy, so karma is a bitch, I suppose.
People need to stop their shit. I was being chased by a group of zombies and I had a fuckton of food and water with a medium sized backpack. The zombies hit me a couple times and my health is almost gone. Then out of piss nowhere, a guy runs up to me, and smacks my shit in.
Why do I still play this game after I die so many times? :suicide:
So my friend and I were looting a tall building in the city in the middle of the night when we found a pistol. I pick it up and suddenly hear a noise and tell him to stop moving. I walk outside to see two guys coming up the stairs, one in a skull mask with a pistol and the other with a hammer. Without even realizing it i just aim and fire on reaction and end up headshotting both of them and taking a bullet to the leg.
My game is still crashing after patch. Also i'm so easy to trust somebody and its gotten me killed. I don't know but when I see someone I'd rather team up but most people seem to have the opposite plan
So can you get infected since there are the vaccines? That would be an amazing twist!
Has anyone else found the 100 round M4 Mag? Im shitting bricks how much ammo i have now.
So can you get infected since there are the vaccines? That would be an amazing twist!
From what I've heard vaccines just give you a full heal.
So can you get infected since there are the vaccines? That would be an amazing twist!
No, you just continually take damage until death.
Survivors,
We'd like to summarize some concepts and designs to check what do you think about it. When making comment please try to be as short as possible, ideally only replying to us and not discussing with other participants - we really want to check this design before final implementation.
Okay, so you have your GLOBAL INVENTORY that we also internall call VAULT.
You can access it :
- Right after you've created new character ( so you can put on some equipment )
- right after you've revived your survivor
- When you're close to special building inside safe settlement
You can't access global inventory ANYWHERE ELSE.
Next you have MARKETPLACE that is accessible thru Front end menu. When you buy items there - they're delivered to your GLOBAL INVENTORY / VAULT.
Inside safe settlements you also have SHOPS, that are similar to Marketplace but may have different inventory. When you buy items there, they're placed into your survivor's BACKPACK.
Last but not least - you have access to LOCKER BOX - think of it like a crate that you can deploy anywhere in a world and transfer some items from your backpack there. Storage unit.
There's TWO types of boxes - one is UNLOCKED, so anybody can open it. Other is LOCKED using 4 digits pin code. Technically person with enough time can crack code - after all it's just a 1000 combinations. Still it provides some security.
This is basically how we designed whole inventory management syustem and we want you to tell us what do you think.

Accidentally bought the first package instead of the one that allows alpha access right now. :( Emailed their support to try and get a refund so I can switch packs, anyone else do this and have any luck switching? I got an automated email that didn't really address my problem, not sure if I should email again or wait for an actual support person to do a follow-up email or something.
tbh i'm not sure about the post office idea
sure it makes people who have the good stuff want to be more careful, but at hte same time i'm thinking i could create a new character with just a hammer until i spawn near a safe settlement, then ambush people as they try to make their way to it
I talked to my brother about WarZ, and he was interested. His first impression wasn't that great, he kept being ganked despite having nothing on him. I told him where to go and how to meet up with me. I shared a kevlar helmet, spiked bat, mauser+mag, some medical supplies and MREs. Right after I geared him up we heard sniper shots just south of us, in rapid succession. We moved south to explore, and we found two sniper buddies set up shop on a hill, sniping into a town at newbies. I told him to snipe them and I'd move forward with my M16, prepared to drop them if we were spotted. He dropped one of them, then his buddy looked around and paniced, trying to grab his gear before dashing off. I was getting ready to shoot him when my brother shot again, dropping the second guy. We looted four sniper rifles off them and a couple of .308 mags.
The people of the town don't know it, but we were their heroes. Also, my brother started to really like the game more that he had someone seasoned to keep him alive.
He died sometime after from an invisible zombie but he wasn't mad at all, he was still happy about killing the two bandits. I grabbed his gear and saved it for him
I actually think what they should do instead of adding the vault/post office is directly change the loot spawning to be dynamic instead of static and if anything, decrease spawning chances for heavier weapons.
I think that bandits still have the upper hand as of now for safe-zones as they still try to hide outside it in trees, on hills and etc to wait for people to come out. Neutral people will have harder times to get their stuff and deposit stuff.
My first safe-zone run was generally safe, I got to it but there was a few gunshots in the city like half a block from me so I booked it along the safe-zone mountain wall.
The safezones are a bit of a bad idea in one respect. Sure, we don't have Loot Spawners nearly as much, but now we have the Loot Campers! Those little fuckers that hide JUST out of the safe zone barrier and wait for whatever unfortunate soul walks outside that limit. Then it's game over.

Just got dropped by some cunt with a .50 as I was running through the treelines to get into the safezone.
Just met a super cool dude name Chadrock. I was starving because granola bars don't do shit for hunger and he gave me a can of pasta. We teamed up for a bit after that. He told me that all he had on him was some ammo. I asked what kind and he said STANAG, so I asked if I could have it since I still have the M16 I mentioned in one of my other posts here.
I wasn't expecting it to be a 100-round mag though. That was pretty grand. He was completely unarmed so I gave him a hammer as thanks. After that we went and raided a small town. Found lots of drinks and medical supplies, including one vaccine, but not much else.
Once we had a decent haul, we headed to the nearest safezone and sneaked in in case there were any bandits sniping the perimeter. We made it in and parted ways, ending the run with him giving me one more can of pasta :v:
Good to know not everyone's a douche.
I should make a list of players who aren't douchebags. So far, I only have a list of players that fucked me over.
The only ones I got names from are: Boosh and Chavicuevas. Bandits. Watch for them when joining a server.
I still wouldn't completely trust anyone; there might be a breaking limit for when they might turn their backs on you, but I know there will always be someone who is kind at heart, but I just don't actually know who.
Bandit thing still isn't working. Bandits camp outside safe zone and then kill you and run back in.
Crap just got hammered to death while prone while typing this alt tabbed
Me and my friend are playing on a server running around a town with guns.
I get sniped and die so my friend watches my body. I realize that I had another character on the outskirts where the sniper was with an AK-74, so I log onto him and my friend takes a shot so I can find the bastard. I gun him down and pick up his snipers (he had two) when my friend warns me about another guy.
I turn and start running into the tree as he shoots at me and misses, and right before I get into cover he gets a shot off and knocks me down to 25%. I use antibiotics and pop out with my AK killing him. He had a large backpack so I was able to pick up the loot we lost as well as their loot, now to find a safezone.
