I got killed because some guy had zombies following him and he led them to me, I was getting some great loot in K-Town too. :smith:
Some guy did that the other day to me too; he had like 10 zombies following him so he just got like 5 feet close to me and they aggroed onto me. I got so mad that I followed him down and hammered him to death. I felt bad afterwards.
[QUOTE=The-Spy;38097680]I still wouldn't completely trust anyone; there might be a breaking limit for when they might turn their backs on you, but I know there will always be someone who is kind at heart, but I just don't actually know who.[/QUOTE]
Me. I have yet to kill ANYONE, and I don't plan to. I only attack if the first shot didn't kill me, and I have a weapon.
[editline]Reasons[/editline]
I'm just too damn Canadian.
Oh man I have no idea what I'm doing in this game but I'm having a lot of fun.
Best experience so far was trying to meet up with a friendly guy who was talking on the local chat, I have no idea how wide the range on that is by the way. I was having trouble finding him but eventually he told me he was in a church. While hiding in a police station across the street to scope out the area I saw someone walking around the church.
"Hey is that you by the church?"
"Yeah I'm in the church."
"No outside the church, with a rifle."
"Oh fuck"
*bang*
RIP kind soul.

And all you hear is the eerie sound of wind chimes...
I don't know why, but it seems like my night isn't NEARLY that dark.

I'm Canadian.. I tend to still trust people too much but I'm more cautious and the people who usually try to betray me(if they don't have firearms) usually die first haha.
ya that place is scary as fuck, there's also an ambient noise that makes a really scary sound every like 30 seconds

also anyone else think they need to remove gamma options and also force grass on?
i realize the grass may hurt players with bad PCs, but maybe they could add like a lower setting for grass
I was at a safe-house and there was one lone zombie sitting at the wall gate and I tried sneaking up to one of the guard towers slowly crawling over while it was pitch black and all I hear is the zombie scream and run towards me; that was scary as hell since I couldn't do anything to it!

I think they should force it, yes. It would be unfair if a bandit didn't have it on and someone who was getting attacked/chased tried hiding but then the bandit actually had grass of and killed the guy in cheap assault.
You know what this game needs? A reputation meter. Upon hovering your mouse over someone it should say how many humans they've killed.

Honestly, this ruined DayZ for me when they had it, I really hope they don't add this.
My brother saw me playing this yesterday, asking a few strangers for some bandages and teaming up.
He just pre-ordered it.
I wish I had family members or really close friends that played games with me! Actually, if my brother or sisters played this they would probably murder me for my items, so I'm fine!

I lowered brightness a bit in my Options. Not too much. I did it while hiding in-game to be sure I had the ideal amount of darkness.

TAB button shows people currently logged into the server and their reputations. Although I'm not sure how reputation works. I always see [NEUTRAL] even if a person's a bandit.

Not sure if it's been fully implemented yet, either that or it changes when someone puts a bounty on somone's head? Pretty curious as to how it'll work.
I saw one guy with the bandit tag on about an hour ago - but he was complaining in chat the he had only killed one guy during self-defense.

It won't help much on servers where you can't see player's names.
There is a server option for name plates or something, but you can't really spot the difference between a bandit and a good person right now.

Then he's a lying son of a bitch because I've had to kill 3 people so far and I'm still neutral.

Speaking of, I hope that the nameplates stay off on most if not all servers.
liar. I asked a bandit how many kills. He said 5 - ish.. wasn't sure, but more than a few
Me lying about the tag or him lying about the kills?
I'm currently sitting in a tower at the eastern safe zone. If anyone wants to form a scavenger party and head out with me, let me know which server and when.
Just bought the game and it's currently on the DL
Just wondering some things:
1. Is it worth it?
2. Are the servers reliable(enough)?
3. Any Australian based servers?

1. I'd say so far it is. It's heading in a very good direction, I just hope it continues.
2. So far I'd say they are, I haven't had any problems.
3. At this time, no. Probably won't be until official release or later. Being Australian myself I too was worried about this but just like DayZ, the latency doesn't affect me negatively all that much.
Hopefully once server hosting is released, someone on facepunch will purchase/create a private server that they will allow us to join, haha! (Who knows, I might eventually get a private server depending on the cost and if I can do it financially without much support).

That was my biggest concern, Glad it's not too much of an issue

I'll definitely have a look closer to release to see how much it'll be. I'll most likely get one or help someone else get it if they'd prefer to.
So, where exactly are those safe zones?
They are circled on your map; press M and you should see where they are.
One is right next to the major city. The other is up north. I can't say for sure what's near it.
Can you get killed in it? Like by another player twat?
