By some miraculous feat I joined a server that wasn't filled with PVPing douches. Feels refreshing actually working with another survivor when looting a building, although my shotgun probably helped a bit too. Speaking of which, I can never find any weapons other than shotguns or pistols.
Friend just bought me the game, installing now!
I managed to escape that small horde completely, but I think I'm bleeding.

What's up with these guys who run away from a group of zombies, and when I walk up and kill all the zombies for them their show of gratitude is trying to gank me. I'm obviously not hostile, and I can obviously handle myself far better then they can, what chance do they think they stand against me?

catch you off guard i guess
Does anyone know what graphic detail the blood trail is in options, I have mine on low and cant see blood trails. Would it be partical quality?
far out, the noob kids who sit by the safe house road are really annoying. I managed to slip by them on the east road by hugging the treeline to the south and running from tree to tree. They are standing right inside the line between safe and not safe, right in the open.
I imagine their chat channel sounds like beavis and butthead.

Totally not my video :v:
Edit: It looks beautiful in HD

I can't stand people like this, I mean when I played Day Z me and my friend were bandits, I guess. But we'd only manipulate and kill people that were directly a threat/if it was necessary for our survival

I've been thinking about buying this to check it out, but I'm really not a fan of the cash shop, I know you lose it when you die and I know you can find it all naturally, but I don't like the concept of someone being a wallet warrior, even for a day

They are 100% cosmetic items.
And food.
And ammo, which costs a ton, seriously... And not all the ammo types are even available.

the cash shop is far far far from pay 2 win.
I think the reason people shoot everyone on sight is because how OP melee damage is, 2 hits and dead. That dude got hit by a hammer in the video and took like 50% damage.

So far you can't actually buy guns and hopefully it stays that way.
So really, you can't be a warrior at all.
Right now, it's nearly all cosmetic.
Oh, I just saw an image of somebody buying night vision goggles, was that a cosmetic item/ingame currency?
Oh, I just saw an image of somebody buying night vision goggles, was that a cosmetic item/ingame currency?
You use in-game currency (Dollars, you get them from killing zombies.. Like 200 dollars every 100 zombies you kill) to buy all the items with even a little advantage (Ammo, one melee weapon and the NVG's).
The NVG's suck anyways, you can see just as fine without them.. They are merely cosmetic if you ask me.
Just killed my first man.
I hate when people start running up to me especially at night when I can't see what they're carrying (if anything).
"Are you happy that you didn't get anything"
Should've just let him run past.

Don't feel bad about what you just did!
If he had any weapon at all, he would have most likely killed you.

I'm not sure. I have my settings on ultra.
I had a shotgun in the big city and there was another player, he thought that running at me head on with a flashlight would be a good idea, thinking it would blind me.
Safe to say, his brains were all over the wall behind him.
so me and eli basically made server 18 a complete hellhole
we started this massive firefight on the cliff west of the north town (kidney town) by basically having every player who went there die
we died multiple times but our new characters would always spawn there, and it got to the point where there were like 4 large backpacks, 2 alice packs, at least one of pretty much every gun in the game, lodes of cosmetics and supplies. i almost walked away with all the good loot but i started getting shot at by a sniper and out of all the guns i had with me (2 snipers, ak-74, 2 saigas, 2 mossbergs, 4 pistols...) only the mp5 had ammo so i died
whoever got the loot basically got a pile of junk since there's no ammo, but i guess if he dumps it in his global inventory they'll be some neat trophies
Anyone met the Sasquatch roaming the woods around the safe settlements? Sure haven't seen any campers after they got implemented.
Pics? I was going to search for it, but I got killed after picking up an M16 in a crowded building.
Been playing with a group of 4 others for about 3 hours and had a good time, going from town to town looting shit and watching after each other. we ran into one bandit who thought he could take us all on. he had a hammer and we were all armed with shotguns and rifles.
There is a cool note at the east settlement near the zombie cage on the left cat-walk. I don't remember exactly how it was wrote but it had a really cool story to it! Go check it out next time you guys go there.
Aww... it's gone now..
Question: I added the game to steam, but I only get the steam overlay in the launcher and not in the actual game, what do i do to fix this? (Does it have to deal with it always asking me to run warz.exe as administrator?
So I got in game, was near the north settlement and heard gun shots, thought I could sneak up behind where ever the shots were coming from but couldn't find the guy.
Killed my second man.
Friend scoped him out for 20 minutes in a warehouse, I get there and we raid it, friend gets a face full of shotgun, I flank bandito, and he explodes loot. M4, camo, saiga, mossberg, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
Then zombie beats me down through a wall after I cool down.

You can't get Steam Overlay on WarZ. Not sure if it will be changed or not in the future. It's a 2-stage program that logs in with the launcher, then loads the main game. Setting Steam to start the launcher will work, but as soon as the launcher logs you in and the game starts, that application closes, and you are registered as not in-game since the Launcher is closed.
Loading the Main application through Steam tells you to run the launcher first. Having both in steam does nothing except the first mentioned routine.
