Which is idiotic but probably the reasoning behind the title, anyway.

When I hear it I think "World War Z" so the title is perfectly fine for me, I doubt they made the title going "hurrr there is DayZ so lets name our game The War Z!! durr" I'd say it comes from World War Z more then it comes from DayZ which is where DayZ probably got their name in the first place. The only fucking reason to have cities in a game like this is to explore, and if you can only walk in the streets, and in two buildings, you don't have anything to explore at all... They can reuse assets, and make like 30 different interiors, and reuse them over and over, but it will still be good, since yu can enter them... Also, something that would be insanely awesome, would be if you could enter a sewage, or subway system underground, with loads of zombies, but a chance of finding a great hideout with a weapons cache deep in the walkways underground.

Rule of cool. Safe to assume that an extreme shortage of supplies make them resort to old equipment. Like that soldier using 80s woodland camo. M40s and those old soviet masks are common as fuck in surplus stores.
