Can be optimized better, but it's not bad as is. And they plan to eventually make a larger map. I heard about 4 times the size of the Colorado map.

Found a Saiga then saw a gun running my direction, looked like he had a machine gun so I ran and hid under steps to log out then went to eat some KFC... Hate fast food haha Also, I think when the other 70% of the map comes out with more spawns, it will probably fix most of the insane common bandit crap.

I mean, as much as I like this colarado map, what kind of a city has two skyscrapers and nothing else. And where is the residential? The towns? There are like five houses, all backwoods shanties. Are we meant to believe these rednecks commute to town in business suits to go work a deskjob in one of those skyscrapers?

By assume I mean I hope.

If we don't get a huge city in the Colorado map, I bet they'll come out with an urban map where it's just one big torn down city.

Did they not show off some gameplay in a city? As far as I remember it was pretty big or at least it looked like it could be called a city, especially compared to what we've seen in the alpha.

Just got fresh money for my birthday and I got nothing to do today, but it's saturday, my account balance is almost zero, banks are closed, and the special offer ends today. Sucks big time to read this thread and see all the screenies, I believe I'm starting to turn green with envy.

Anyone know how I can improve my performance to surpass 17 FPS? Current specs: 6GB RAM 1TB 5400RPM HDD AMD A8-3500M Quadcore overclocked to 2.4Ghz AMD Radeon 6620G Playing on low settings but can't seem to get above 17 FPS in the city.

Whats your graphics card? all your other specs should do the job ok.

Its not brilliant but it handles games like Skyrim fine, The WarZ's graphics aren't particularly good and I just would have expected at least 25-30fps.

Especially at night. I've seen a few videos of people traveling around in cities at night time and it's pretty much everything I wanted from DayZ when I initially tried it. With DayZ though it's almost unplayable at night due to how ridiculously dark it gets. In this game, though - I think I would almost prefer playing at night. The only thing I can think of that seems to be missing in this game is in-game voice. It just seems incomplete without it.

Me and two other friends found a sniper and two pistols yesterday, so we went into one of the towns in the north west. We heard sniper shots, so we were cautious, and when we went into town, we saw a guy with a bat, and a medium backpack. We asked if he was friendly, to which he replied yes, and he ran into a store. We were obviously not really trusting him, but we entered the store anyway, to see him flashing a pistol before quickly taking it away when he saw we were loaded. He then proceeded to flash a sniper while looking away from us, so we didnt trust him any more, and we killed him. He dropped two snipers, a mossberg, two pistols, and loads of food, and when we entered the post office, we saw loads of small backpacks and other stuff new players would have had, so we knew we just killed a bandit. As we were looting the post office, we saw a flashlight, and asked if he was friendly. Two people said yes, and one of them asked if we wanted to team up, and that he was not with the other one. The other one said "Eeehh", something that made us think he may have been a bandit, so we crouched in the windows, looking for them. We could see that they had teamed up, one with a female skin, large backpack and flashlight, and another with nothing but the small backpack. As they closed in on each other, I zoomed in with my Mauser, and the woman hit the guy once, only to be dropped in one shot. The other guy panicked, but we said we just saved him, and that she hit him. He came towards us, and we told him that he could join us, and take one of the many melee weapons in the post office, but that he couldnt unholster it next to us, unless it was in an emergency. He accepted, and we walked out into the street. At this point, me and my friends thought we could as well have some fun, so we told him that we were the "Providers", the warriors of light in this dark world. Me, as the leader, had the Vincent skin and a cowboy hat, and my two friends had the standard guy skin, with M9 Urban helmets. We circled around him, and said things like "One of us", and "Let it be", while the guy probably wondered what weirdos we were. After that, we started calling him initiate. Since I was the cult leader, I did most of the talking, and it was all sort of cryptic, and I tried to make me sound insane. As we searched around, we told him we could provide medical supplies and water, but since we were but men, our food supplies had run low. As we were trying to exit the town, we heard a shotgun being fired in the town, and we told Initiate that we had to take care of this intruder. The intruder had however heard us saying that, and said he would just leave, if it was okay with us. We proceeded to tell him he could join our companionship, the providers, if he came to the church to discuss with us. He told us this really sounded like a trap, but we were just standing there, me on the bed in the middle, Initiate crouching next to me, and me two friends in the corners, pistols in hand. (If he would have come in, we would try to make him join us, but if he had shot us, we would have shot him.) Sadly, the other player left because he thought it was a trap, so we started to move on. After that, we promoted Initiate to Apostle in our ranks. We gave him a pistol, and told him he could carry it freely, and that he was truly, one of us. Thankfully, he did not shoot us. As we left the building we had promoted him in, we met another player, who was annoying as fuck. He would sprint around, attracting zombies, and write things like "XD", "so u guise r lyk cops lol XD", but we let him follow us, and told him we would provide. As we walked into the forest, the most horrible thing happened. Initiate (We still called him that, even though he was promoted), crashed, and we had not asked him for any contact information. We waited in the spot where initiate had left for 30 minutes, but he did not return. We had a plan, that we would make the outsider annoying guy drop the weapon he got from us, as if he would have gotten a better one, and made Initiate kill him, in order to fully join our ranks. But since Initiate was no more, we told him that his foolish ways were annoying us, and that he was not fit to join the brotherhood. We made him walk away, and shot him in the back. We told him we were sorry, but it had to be done. TLDR: We got loads of guns after killing a bandit, made a cult where we helped some guy, and seemed really weird, before he crashed and we killed some annoying fuck who we were going to let join our ranks.

I suggest waiting until they fix the optimization issues.

Finally managed to get to the chopper before it was looted. got myself a p90 an a five-seven. sadly no ammo for them

All you have to do is buy a new computer. [sp]You can't expect a modern game to run well on low to mid end laptop hardware.[/sp]
