Crossbow isn't anything to cry over right now. So don't feel bad.
I don't like how bad the crossbow is. Its really easy to shoot them (i have a few hangin on my wall)

also we could have a rule of thumb for playing with other FP members: wear gas masks.

I mean if you get in a group with fellow facepunch members, and you decide to split into 2 groups to cover more ground. You know its your fellow members and not some random group with hats.
Use firefighter hats instead
I never really find any automatic weapons, I mostly just find crossbows and handguns. I did find a SAIGA once though
I teamed up with a Russian guy the other day. Initially I was afraid he'd attack me when I turned my back, since I had a hammer to his flashlight, but we just explored for a bit, found myself a shotgun, medium backpack and some other supplies. I shared some of my food with him and we parted ways on good terms.

So I just tracked a guy all the way from the crashed helicopter to the north-western safe zone. I was watching him to make sure he didn't get picked off, since he was shining his flashlight everywhere and looking like dinner to bandits. It looked like he had nothing on him so once I got to the safe zone I gave him some medical supplies and water. Turns out he was dying of thirst.
I'm such a good person.
The game worth buying? I want someone's opinion on the game.
God damn, sneaking around the city with a friend and he suddenly gets shot, I hide behind a car and wait for the guy to come out of cover, his friend starts to beat me in the head from behind.
I shoot him right in the chest with a shotgun at point blank, hitmarker and everything, he keeps hitting me and kills me :|
Logged another character on and killed the guy who shot my friend though. He dropped so many guns it boggles my mind as to why you would even carry that many at one time.
I hope no one ever discovers I don't even have any bolts for this crossbow. I just chased some guy around town with him saying he's got nothing and don't shoot him. Funny as hell.
Then some other kid comes into town and dies saying some idiot with a crossbow shot him so I decided it was probably best if I just skulked off before I got into shit.
It's probably worse running around looking like you are unarmed than having a crossbow with no ammo. By that I mean flashlight and melee noobs won't try coming after you compared to when you actually don't have anything but then you still have the possibility of getting killed by someone else who actually does have ammo because they are scared that you are a threat.
I can't say I'm enjoying this so far. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like every server follows the same clock, or they are all in night time, since every server I joined over alternating times yesterday, the game was at night. When it's my first time playing the game I would much rather play in day time whilst I'm getting the hang of it. This combined with the fact that every zombie has bugged out, and every character I've made has only lasted 5 minutes either due to a random shot or a random beating with a hammer before I've even found a flashlight.
I really want to enjoy this game, but right now I'm not.

The night cycles are way faster than real-time if I recall. But they are all in the same time I believe.

Need to get used to how the game plays. Everyone in the beginning died multiple times.
I got to a point, where I can survive a whole day without getting injured.
Such as; In K-Town. I saw a group of 5 people taking over the town, shooting anything that moved. I watched them from afar under a car. After they finished picking a corpse clean, one of the guys pulled out a pistol and began to shoot everyone in his group at random. Everyone panicked and began to shoot each other, as the pistol man ran off. After the bullets stopped flying, the pistol man came back and began to taunt the guys in Proxy chat. As he sat there looting and chatting, I snuck up behind him and whacked him in the head with my trust hammer.
Great day to be a bystander.
I think night cycle is 2 hour day 2 hour night. Pretty good because if it was real time, It would always be night for me, being in NZ
Well had a fun time with Ricen and Myt0l1st, they seemed to target Ricen a lot and Myt0l1st got screwed in the end but it was a damn good time having a group. I actually managed to make the trek to the safe area, but I have no food or drink.
Killed about six bandits in five minutes since they kept trying to beat my handgun, and sniper with flashlights, and hammers.
Anyone from yesterday's gas mask masquerade want to mumble and group again? Or anyone at all.

finally having a good time with this game! fuck yeah!! killed one bandit sitting on a truck like a retard. took his crossbow and pistol..legged it to the safe zone dropped off my guns and headed for the city. i run to the top of that huge building and find a 870 remmington (hope thats right?) with one mag. as i continue to loot the top floor i hear footsteps below me..so i gear up for them camping the stairs as one comes at me with a hammer! i splatter this bro all over the all. the next dude has no clue and i rape his face. and the last guy has a sub machine gun or something and destroys me. ahhh so much fun!
Took out a shotgun bandit with my pistol and got shit loads of goodness. Fuck yeah.
