First no proximity VOIP and now this.
It's a fucking MMO, 250 players per server, and probably a shared database, what the hell were you expecting.
Still no excuse for no proximity VOIP.
I agree with that. Lack of VOIP is a bad idea.
Hopefully if we bomb their forum with that, they will maybe think twice.
really wanna see a gameplay video of this

1. No, you'll be able to enter only some of the buildings. As game going, we'll be adding more and more interiors. And no, there won't be any loading screen or anything when you're entering building (...)
2. This is one of the things we're working on right now. (Barricades) (:D)
3. You will be able to loot anybody - both hardcore and normal mode players.
4. You have to destroy their brain - by using either gun or hit their head with knife, baseball bat or any other melee weapon ( yes crowbars and hammers will be available ). If you shoot them in a body - you'll be able to slow them down and temporarily put them down. (:D)
5. Legs, hands hits will do less damage than chest. Headshots are almost always lethal, with chance to survive if you wear helmet ( and no you can't buy armor or helmets - you'll have to find them ). As for how hardcore and reallistic we want to go on wounds simulation - we have pretty crazy ideas, but we're not sure it'll be approriate for all players. So we'll test them out. (:D)
Not having VOIP seems like one of the worst things they could do, especially in a zombie game. Zombie combat relies on quick decisions, you can't be typing out commands or fumbling around with chat menus if you're surrounded. It'll force people to use external programs like teamspeak, which will alienate new players who won't necessarily know any else. If new players don't feel comfortable, they probably won't stick around for long. An alternative option would be to have some sort of a quick radial menu with common commands. I'm curious if the reason for avoiding VOIP is.
I wouldn't worry much about them not adding VOIP because the feedback on it is pretty unanimous.... no VOIP makes no sense.
I just don't understand how they don't think it's important in game like this though
Was there VOIP in WarINC ? ( i'm thinking about random engine limitations, that's why i ask )

Doesn't seem so

Exactly what I feared.
Also :
we won't start pre orders until we're sure that game is very stable and fun and until you guys saw gameplay video, so you can make informed decision on if you want to buy game or not.
Ie - we don't want to do "kickstarter" bs . We don't really need extra money to finish development, and we don't want to release product we're not proud of.
Mr.Titov is really bad with english ( i'm reading his forum posts ) :v: .
Is there a thread complaining about VOIP in the forum yet? If not, we should bother them about it.
The lack of it could possibly encourage less teamplay. One new player will be typing "Are you friendl-" while the veteran would be rushing at him with an axe.
^ Yeah, there's a 7 page thread on it. 70 votes saying yes to VOIP. 1 saying no. I think people might be confusing the poll selections though.. cause close to half of the votes are apparently FOR having a global text chat alongside local VOIP.... wtf
If this game gets good enough reviews I'm going to build a new rig for it, because this shit looks crazy
pls gif support or report u

seriously why the fuck does someone already have 75 posts on those forums
That kinda sucks, I was hoping to have a private server for like 5 of my friends, guess I'll have to join one like if someone gets an FP server
Lots of shitposting on the forums since
We will be selecting people (for the beta) that are active on the official forums, official Facebook page and helping to grow the community
:v:
why do the warz and all the other forums have to be like 10 posts per page
fp's 40 posts is so much better
As much as I wanna be excited for this game, the whole thing just feels SOOO fishy to me. Something just doesn't feel right. A game this big popping out of nowhere, with no website, supposedly just months before its release. Now the site is up - and it just has this amateur feel to it. And then this Sergei guy, he's all kinds of suspicious. Don't get me wrong - This LOOKS like my dream game, and I want nothing more than to play it - but does anyone else feel the skepticism I'm feeling?

Lol why is Sergey suspicious.
because he's russian
The devs have chosen the right time to announce the game since DayZ has proven how popular zombie mp sandbox games can become, and I don't quite get what an amateur looking site has to do with anything.
Sergey Titov is a master programmer (unsurprising considering the quality of Big Rigs), supposedly "casually completing features that were scheduled to take months of creation time only to be implemented by his afternoon coffee break". In his free time, Sergey enjoys watching movies or playing games that "are not suck". Sergey also believes that it is kind of suck to be Darth Vader. Sergey currently has a wife, a woman whom he enjoys spending time with, and despite his busy schedule, always has time for. He resided in Santa Monica during his term at Stellar Stone but has since moved to the Greater Los Angeles area.
On Sunday, September 21, 2008, Sergey created a topic on the yourewinner.com forums, under the username "ohmygodheisreal." He answered questions from several of the users, as well as asking some of his own.
At 10 AM on June 21, 2011, Sergey's son Edward Titov was born.
He's the MIND behind Big Rigs.
I wonder if we can go infinite speed backwards in War Z too
Being able to armor up vehicles would be cool. Driving a bus fully decked with hillbilly armor running zombies over while giving other people rides would be awesome.
Then you get ambushed as a group of bandits block the road while firing into the bus.
I can see some really nice weaponry on that one picture they uploaded.
PKM, M16, 2 other assault rifles without a mag on them tools, bandages, and oh damn c4.
I am so sold.. I want to be the nicest and helpiest guy out there and do some justice as a cop.

Oh and I also made a Thread on the War Z forums with confirmed weapons. Here:
