• The War Z - This IS NOT A GAME, IT'S A SCAM

Aight my earlier comment was pretty stupid I agree. WarZ looks kinda cool, but it to me it seems like they've implemented alot of shit that shouldn't be there. It is a copy, everyone knows that. I wouldn't give a shit if it wasn't for the fact that this game is most likely gonna be vacant once the DayZ standalone is out. Tons of companies have tried this in the past, trying to undermine other peoples work and rushing out a game quicker then the authors of the original idea are able to. I can name a ton of games in the past that have done this, they've all had their 15 minutes of fame before the real deal is out and then steals their entire playerbase. Luckily enough for those of you who are gonna stick to WarZ, it'll probably just become a f2p game unlike in the old days when games failed and the servers were shut down. I also heard WarZ has an ingame shop where you can buy virtual items for real cash? Most game devs who realize their game is gonna bomb implement this as a preperation for the f2p days.

I am for one happy that gamers have the option and more choice for different zombie survival games. Even tho WarZ and DayZ are both zombie survival games, they both are different and both have community's backing them.

Besides, anything you buy with real money in WarZ can be found in-game and you can even lose the stuff you bought if you get killed while having it with you, someone else can just walk up to your loot and steal it.
Well obviously. I'm just saying, it doesn't take a psychic to know that the warZ playerbase is gonna take a major hit once the dayZ standalone is out. How everything will pan out is ofcourse dependant on how good DayZ will be. But man, this thread is full of fanboys, nobody here can stand to hear anything negative said about this game. I realize you guys all probably spent money on this game, but cmon guys. It's like 40 bucks... Not exactly big money. Game is probably still fun, I just don't see this game being big very long.. Mainly because it doesn't have the same intensity that the dayz mod has. Although I guess they wanted to take this game in a more casual gameplay direction, so it makes sense.

I mean we have all been talking about the issues and problems with the game.

As I said, right now they're both on the same level, unless one gets a huge advantage over the other in terms of content and gameplay updates, I don't see one winning over the other, they can both co-exist perfectly. And the cheapest package is like $24, it was $20 before, not that expensive unless you plan on hosting your own servers, which is what the more expensive packages are mostly for.

Yeah guys you don't get it. DayZ is the true zombie simulator, and War Z just sucks cock and is a copy. Get real. PS. I'm not a fanboy. If you call me that you're a dick and a War Z fanboi.
WarZ murdered my dog and raped my sister, I'm going back to DayZ.
My condolences.
WarZ murdered my dog and raped my sister, I'm going back to DayZ.
With a fleshlight I presume?
With a fleshlight I presume?
Yeah man, she spawned and had nothing on her, all she saw was this bright light, at first she thought she was dead and was seeing "the light" you know but then a face pops out from behind it and she was beaten for hours with it. EDIT: This was back when hitting someone with a fleshlight once = insta-rape
Haha already loving this community. It's like battlefield vs cod. Both have a majorly retarded playerbase and both sides will blindly deffend the game they spent money on, clinching to their hopes of it being "the better game." Anyways I'm out, ya'll enjoy the game tho. Like I said it's probably a fun game. Just sayin' I wouldn't wanna spend money on a game that is most likely gonna have the majority of their playerbayse consisting of the DayZ rejects in a couple of months.

Good riddance :v: Now back on topic, the wait for the beta is killing me.
The War Z is going to have skill trees and other RPG elements when it releases, right? Is DayZ doing that?
Good riddance :v: Now back on topic, the wait for the beta is killing me.
The wait for the map opening up is killing me. Is it supposed to be this week? Wish they'd do it already. [editline]25th October 2012[/editline]
The War Z is going to have skill trees and other RPG elements when it releases, right? The way I see it is WarZ developers thought they could make a lot of money by using DayZ concepts. They made a rip-off, you can't ignore the fact they tried to attract a database that already liked DayZ, the first screenshots blatantly felt like "dayZ but better looking". But now it's going its own way, for two main reasons: -The people making WarZ aren't the ones making DayZ, so of course the games are going to end up being different -The people making DayZ aren't revealing much information (other than "oh no our developers are in jail in greece"), thus making it hard to keep on copying stuff. I don't think I'll like WarZ that much because in my opinion they didn't copy the right concepts when they wanted to copy DayZ, they took the whole survival stuff and forgot what DayZ tried to introduce to the gaming world: a multiplayer world in which everyone is clueless and a game with no real objective, only problems. In my opinion WarZ forces itself too much on you, you know there are safe zones you need to reach, they're planning on adding NPCs, you can already buy things, etc, which is why I won't like it over DayZ. Still, I think it's going it's own way now and it will be interesting to see what WarZ ends up being. Zombie MMOFPS need to be a thing anyway.
Well, I can play for the next 2 hours or so. Get on the mumble if you want to team-up.
Mumble

[TH]server address[/TH] fpzombies.mumble.com

[TH]Port[/TH] 8069

Pass: beans
This is what we like to call an "opinion", you should try it sometime. I agree though, it is going to be quite a different game and honestly I like that. I wouldn't want two of the same game. Plus this gives me something different to play in-case of I get bored of one. DayZ for a more "hardcore" experience and WarZ for a slightly more laid-back experience. It'll be awesome.
