Anyone know of any gun spawn locations? I know that an M16 spawns at this radio outpost at the southern end of the map.
Anyone know of any gun spawn locations? I know that an M16 spawns at this radio outpost at the southern end of the map.
I'm pretty sure it's completely random.
Tried Day Z again the other night with some friends. None of us had played for about a month. I've been playing War Z they have been playing Starcraft or something. Other than feeling like I was "the flash" with my running speed, it was a boring experience. Server was full. I tried to have some fun by shooting zombies. Didn't work out well. Died and spawned on the coast. Found a pistol and tried to kill some more zombies (because it was so boring running the 2km to the next town), and died again and then said "this sucks", and they all agreed that they weren't feeling the Day Z love anymore.
Alright, so I am finally going to buy the game. Now, the decision: which one of the two offers should I buy? I have the money, but I'm not sure. What do you guys think? (Legendary is out of stock so can't get that). I will take a shower and then come back to make my decision.
Might as well go with Survivor, only a week left of Alpha. Anyone on Mumble?
Might as well go with Survivor, only a week left of Alpha. Anyone on Mumble?
they extended the alpha, the beta starts on 31st october has been changed into alpha for the survivor pack.
they extended the alpha, the beta starts on 31st october has been changed into alpha for the survivor pack.
The difference is 10 euros, it isn't that much. Is Pioneer worth it?
The difference is 10 euros, it isn't that much. Is Pioneer worth it?
well you get 15 dollars worth of ingame cash and 1 month of stronghold hosting, so I'd say yeah its worth it.
wait a moment after alpha ends we loose access to both alpha and beta?
well you get 15 dollars worth of ingame cash and 1 month of stronghold hosting.
And a shiny shiny forum tag thing. That's all of it. What can I do with the 15 dollars worth of ingame cash? Buy guns and all that jazz?
wait a moment after alpha ends we loose access to both alpha and beta?
no, you bought the game and they gave you alpha access which will continue over to the beta. they just delayed the beta to an unannounced date.
And a shiny shiny forum tag thing. That's all of it. What can I do with the 15 dollars worth of ingame cash? Buy guns and all that jazz?
No guns. With $15, you can get some medical supplies like food, water, and bandages. Or maybe a fancy hat. You could also get a little bit of ammo I think, but no guns.
You can also get a really shite bat!
You can also get a really shite bat!
Better than nothing. :v:
Lol so they pushed back the beta after all? I feel like that was almost a necessity, it's so incomplete and buggy sometimes it doesn't seem like beta would feel like the right title.
Lol so they pushed back the beta after all? I feel like that was almost a necessity, it's so incomplete and buggy sometimes it doesn't seem like beta would feel like the right title.
well they obviously had to push it back since a game usually goes into beta after its feature complete, and this game is in no way feature complete.

The game has been rather smooth for the most part since the more recent patches. No crashes, no kick to menu, no issues in general.

Other than a few land glitches the game has been smooth for me as well.
If players wan't to kill other people they have to learn how to aim. Took down two guys who had a shotgun and a pistol only using a hammer and running around corners. Then I got killed because I started being friendly letting other people get some of their loot. :(

I'm not attacking the game either, I enjoy it, so don't get me wrong there, in fact I can't wait to play with my friends on the 31st and I agree with this move, because calling it a beta would feel wrong without some major updating I knew the Alpha to Beta phase was projected way too fast.

Other than that the game feels pretty polished, lacks some features they said they'd be added but like said, its an alpha and those will be added later on. Personally I can't wait for the safe house stores and npcs that they have in the works.
Better than nothing. :v:
Barely.
no, you bought the game and they gave you alpha access which will continue over to the beta. they just delayed the beta to an unannounced date.
Wait, so they delayed the beta does this mean those who bought beta access through the previous Survivor Pack will get to play the alpha on the 31st anyways or will they have to wait? I'm guessing the first, just making sure.

was there an update today?
yay had another great loot session, also meet a female "player" asked if she/he was friendly and he/she replied yes he even gave me a few of his supplies as i neede them, thena fter that i continued looting, went to safezone and stashed all i had it really takes away the fear from OH SHIT I HAVE GOOD STUFF BETTER NOT GET KILELD
It might take away some of that fear of dying permanently, but there is still the threat of dying on your way to the safe zone, plus the idea that "hey, there are other survivors who are alive and will trade with me". It's more about your story, rather than about trying to keep all of the loot. This game has the potential for real role play.
Love group play so much, we had a freindly fire incident where i ended up unloading 10 AA-12 rounds into a group of my team mates before they nearly killed me. it is difficult to identify people at the moment [IMG_thumb]http://i48.tinypic.com/j9bkee.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Just lost my aa-12 though as some guy was camping a settlement with a sniper....
I can't wait until no PVP servers. I've died to a zombie once my whole time. People just run and gun.
