Jesus fuck, me and two of my friends was in the big city, when we heard some shooting in the hotel. We had a couple of pistols and an M4 semi, so we ran up there to see if we could score some loot. We did not just get loot, we hit the motherload.
As we entered, we heard at least three people firing at the same time. Two of them had either Mossbergs or Mausers (They sound the same), and one had a saiga. As we made our way up the stairs, the saiga stopped shooting, and eventually, one of the other guys also died. We charged the top floor, and i popped the last guy with four round with my M4 semi. Two bulletproof forest vest things popped out, along with about 8 mossbergs, and more guns. He also had like four big backpacks. We started picking stuff up, when another one spawned in, and we spawnkilled him. We kinda felt bad for a second, before more people started showing up. People were spawning in that top floor, with guns, but we managed to kill all of them, and we were literally swimming in them.
However, our actions did not go unheard. We apparently pissed of a german clan, who all spawned on the server, and filled it up from 11 to 30 players. They had a fucking army. We were shooting people who spawned in the building left and right, but one of us got taken out by a guy with a hammer. We stayed in the top floor, guarding the stairs and rrooms, as he got up again, amazingly unharmed. However, this was because the army was regrouping. We looked out the window, and saw at least 10-15 guys, with guns, standing in a circle below us. We panicked and started shooting. Bad idea. They immediatly started shooting like fuck towards us, but somehow we all got back from the windows, and survived.
Currently, we were standing trapped in the building, with about 15 hostile players with guns below us. We were trapped as fuck. We managed to fill our backpacks with loot, and were thinking about pussying out, but we figured we would try against all odds to kill the army below. We managed to kill about 6 or 7 with sniper rifles first, before one of us got dropped from the bridge. The two left, took defensive positions guarding the stairs, and waited. Suddenly, they were shooting with automatic weapons into the roof, from every fucking window in the house. Obviously startled, we looked around, when they started streaming up the stairs.
I had an M16, and my friend had an M4, and we were spraying into the crowd full auto. Imagine your standard zombie game, with zombies streaming up the stairs, except every zombie is an angry german with guns trying to kill you. We dropped at least 10 people there, but they had more people, with more guns, spawning in. Our demise came from snipers on the highway, and the heavy suppressive fire pushing us away from the stairs. We were dropped in rapid succesion, and the battle was lost.
However, me and my friends didnt want to stop there. We spawned in again, with melee weapons, and were gonna drop them, one by one. We saw a stray one, with an AK, and charged him. One of us got dropped, but we managed to kill him, and I grabbed the AK. When I looked up though, his reinforcements had arrived. I managed to shoot a single bullet, which missed, before getting killed by a hail of bullets. My friend, still alive, managed to grab the AK from behind a fence, and killed at least three when they turned back again, but was dropped.
I then spawned in with my sniper, and my friends with theirs. We were going all in. We managed to snipe 4 people on the highway, and grabbed all their shit, but their numbers were endless. We sniped at least five people each, making 15 dead, but they had so many people, with so much stuff, our death was inevitable. In the end, one of my friends was killed by another sniper, I got killed by a zombie, and my friend was rushed by 10 people with flashlights. He had a sniper and a pistol, but they overwhelmed him.

There wont be no pvp servers. If anything there will be facepunch/private strongholds but they have less % of loot, no rare things spawn, map is smaller ect.

There is a discussion about wiping. I hope it happens to be honest. All the server hopping farmers can go and quit. I don't see the point in amassing an arsenal you are never going to use. It's some weird meta game that I can't derive any enjoyment from.

Strongholds are cheaper, smaller portions of a server you can rent.
You can also rent a private server which will be more expensive, but is the entire map, and is the same as public, except you have control over it.

But you don't have to password protect it. Make it public with rules. Kick PKers and ban them. Private servers are kinda crappy.

I hope they do a complete loot wipe. I would be perfectly fine with that, and it'd be taking away from those who server-hopped and farmed while global inventory was always available.
Stronghold servers are different from full private servers by the way, like mentioned a few posts above.

So kick them. As the owner of a rented server, you will have that ability, as well as the ability to assign moderators. If it is a clan server, then just assign moderator status to people in your clan and allow them to kick anyone not playing by the rules.
Also, if I am reading your link correctly, it is only the really rare items that will be unavailable, which at the moment, is probably snipers, knives and some of the cosmetic stuff like bear backpacks and NVGs.
I don't think it means "no guns, no weapons, just food".
as i understand it its means rare common loot like guns and ammo while rare things are unavailable so you are still getting punished

about the stronghold / rented server couldnt they just have a separate profile from the normal servers and thats it?

I really want to love this game but since I'm always traveling alone I am less inclined to keep trying each time I die. Hopefully my friends will stop being poor before the price goes up again.
After an hour of surviving, my longest run yet:
Go into the city while hearing constant gunfire.
Nonchalantly search that 5 story apartment building.
Find some good loot.
A bunch of guys with guns bust in, kill me in cold blood.
I am extremely pissed at the world for being filled with such dicks.
Join new server.
Within 30 seconds find MP5/10 and 2 Mags.
The video game gods gave me good karma today.

Aparently headshots don't mean shit, yet getting shot in the foot with a shotgun is an instant death
Teaming up with moffe pays off, scored an AKM with mag, Mauser, Mossberg, fuckloads of .308 and masses of other stuff.
Shotgunned a hammer wielding idiot and blew a girls head off with the AK after she decided to shoot me when I had it pointed at her, called her an idiot and she replied with virgin.

Military Outposts.
There's one near the western side of the map exploration border just above a river. I have yet to see anybody go there other than myself and there's always at least 1 gun there, a bunch of hats, and some survival supplies.

If you crouch jump while running at it a lot sometimes you'll get stuck in the second shelf. Keep crouching and you'll be able to pick it up

I want to make a clan called "The Postal Service" who go around leaving friendly notes from peoples families in odd locations. Also, deliver medical supplies to people in the field and trade at the trading posts.
And kill bandits.
just got back from a raid with my group, and we got 2 new assault rifles one with a 100 round mag, 2 sniper rifles and several pistols.
So i logged in today and started playing with the survivor I started last night. I had an M16 and a medium backpack. I go into a town for supplies and I carefully watch my every corner for bandits. I turn around like every 10 seconds to make sure no ones behind me. Then some fucker with a hammer got me from behind. I didn't even hear him coming.
