guess you were really lucky then, I've only found one automatic weapon today that was not attached to a person the gun was a m16.
ive never found an assault rifle or any kind of machine gun. ive only found mossbergs, saigas, 9mm handguns and a mp5 once
the only gun i hate is snipers. if im going to fight you, at least be in the same town. i dont wanna scour the hills in fear
After a week and a bit, i have to say...... i prefer dayz.
Sure the game might get better as times goes on, but the whole "Arcady" style just doesnt suit the genre.
The game does have the potential to become good, and even though it is in alpha, it isnt there and it is going to take a while to get there.
The whole clunky feel of Dayz makes the mod allot harder and suits the genre.
I will be returning to The War Z on the 31st when it comes to beta, but i don't expect myself to play it much.
Really fucking buttmad. Me, 0fucksgiven and Chilean_Wolf were rolling together, having an AMAZING time. The first 2 or 3 hours we did some major awesome tactical advances and got some AMAZING gear, then as we left the back side of the northern safe zone, we were all 3 head shot in succession while sprinting. The shooter then teleported to our bodies and took our shit, and while they were looting 0fucksgiven's body he snapped backwards and shot another person then snapped back to looting
We had amazing gear too. Snipers, scars, M4s, grips, holo sights, body armor, helmets, the works...

I knew we were done for when Desert Rat was dropped in one shot while we were sprinting. I tried making it to cover but he got his other shot off literally the second the next bullet was ready to go. Chilean was the last to drop. Just shared a Kobra sight I got of a bandit with him, it was my last one too.
Consider yourselves successful that you were only able to be brought down by a (presumably) hacking safe zone camper.
I have yet to be on the winning side of an ambush like that, yet alone ever have any of that gear.

Its funny, because all day weve been kicking ass and taking names, bringing down entire groups of people double our numbers with amazing gear because of our tactics. Its funny that the only thing that could effectively kill us all is a hacker.

I just murdered a spawn camper with my hammer.
I walked out of safe zone and I saw a guy, he saw me and started to fire so I ran back to the safe area.
Then I went back out, got up to a tree and we began to circle around it. I pulled out my hammer and swap directions and rushed the asshole.
He panicked and fired randomly, missing each shot. I beat him down and took his mauser, mossberg, jericho, and large backpack.

I run up behind a guy last night trying to snipe towards the city, I don't know if he was doing good or evil but I still beat the hell out of him with my hammer before he could do anything, my global inventory is loaded at the moment, I'm too scared to carry stuff.
Characters are going to be wiped on the 31st anyway, may as use all your gear and enjoy it.
I bought this then decided not to play till they fix the amount of zombies and make it so you can make it so you don't get randomly spawn killed when you enter the map. Also, I wish they would put the revive time down to 30minutes. 60 Minutes is way to long..
