I just wanted to point out to anyone who watches this and may perceive it wrong, we are not bandits. We attacked these guys because they had been stalking us with shotguns (granted we didn't know the other guy was unarmed until after the fight). We have taken up the rules of engagement where we shoot anyone near us with weapons that we perceive can harm us, because 90% of the time, someone with a weapon will shoot us. If they have only a melee weapon, a small backpack, or just generally seem under geared, we leave them alone. I do regret shooting that guy running off, I figured he was still armed and was trying to flank us, it was one of those heat of the moment things.
I just dont want anyone thinking we are nasty ganking bandits or anything. We are the opposite, and try to help as much as we can, but if we perceive danger, we must act to preserve our own character's lives.

Yes, there are hackers. Not sure if it is rampant. I was running with a pickup group the other night and two of the guys in the group were using hacks (there were six of us). Went into K-town (Bean Town) and were in a huge gang fight with another group that also appeared to be using ESP hacks. I didn't die, luckily, but it was a bit disheartening. I prefer the PVE with the threat of PVP.
I only kill if the other person is aware. Like two nights ago, I saw a guy in north town running around with a hammer. He was fighting a zombie. I took the opportunity to run in with my shotgun, just as he killed the zombie. I stood there aiming at him. He stood staring back. Then he pulled out a shotgun, fired from the hip and missed. I shot him and he died. He congratulated me. Got a pretty decent haul from him too.

Is this game horribly optimized for anyone else? I've got two ATI cards doing Crossfire, and even though I can max out BF3(without AA, at least) I only get 15 FPS on this game with everything on the lowest settings. Are the developers just too lazy to optimize it, or?

Optimize and alpha are two words which [I]don't[/I] go together.
Also crossfire likely isn't helping you, disable one of the cards and see if it changes.

My FPS drops pretty low sometimes and I got a pretty nice rig. Most of the time my FPS hovers around 60, if it goes any higher I get screen tearing like a motherfucker.

It was about 8pm for me, but I think it was like 2am in the morning. Could have been us though. The fight went from bean town and ended up at the top of the hill to the west of it. Everyone was hacking (not me, I was scared out of my wits because I had 2 m16's with 100 round ammo in them that I found legit), so I was sticking next to the hackers I was on skype with. Got boring since I couldn't see who they were shooting at and I ducked down behind a rock and logged.
