What time(not date) does the game become available to people with guest passes?
No info on that given, I think.
Fuck when are they releasing more of the map. There is nothing left to explore.

Wasn't it supposed to be on the 31st as well?
I still don't get why people call this game 'aracdey'. If anything, its a more simplified version of DayZ while DayZ is a complicated version of WarZ.
I just don't get the idea of this game being 'arcadey'. That term makes me think the game is wacky or unserious.

Because the game mechanics are anything but serious. The guns fire almost perfectly at what you're aiming at, and the hunger and thirst mechanics are anything but serious as well. I love the game, but to say it's anywhere near serious is silly. If they actually add bullet drop, and make the weapons fire a more realistically, and tweak it so the PKers slow down, it might be slightly more realistic. I personally wish that a game like War Z or DayZ would use the humanity factor to actually mean something. Even if you were under stress in a zombie apocalypse, just killing tons of random humans who have lives similar to yours isn't going to be as easy as they let people get by.
And we are up for the last night of Pre-Alpha or something!

I could of swore snipers had bullet drop, that or i am just a fucking terrible shot and hold down keys when im not looking
I could of swore snipers had bullet drop, that or i am just a fucking terrible shot and hold down keys when im not looking
Guns do have drop. It just, when you fire over about 25 feet(Usual distance people start shooting), the drop will be unnoticable.
And the food and hunger system make sense for what it is, since the world 's time moves about 3 times faster. 4 hours of day time, and 4 hours of night I think.
Either way, a single real time hour converts to like 4 to 6 in game hours. I tend to get hungry after 6 hours of not eating or drinking.
I do agree, guns need tweaks, such as shotguns need to be fixed. But the rest of the guns seem to fire just fine.
I feel like the game is realistic enough as is, while still being a game.

It's not the last night of Alpha, it's still going on for an unspecified amount of time, Beta release is unknown
Bullet drop shouldn't even be taken into account until you're shooting people at distances above 300m (most modern rifles have an effective range around this). If it were added, it would not be noticeable in most engagements.

Jesus fucking christ all the kids that argue here... Go join a steam chat or some shit.
Also, it sucks when you log in and randomly die. Why War Z? Why?

Nobody cares here jesus shut up already about this...
Friend of mine game up with a couple new mechanics. I'm bored so... Discuss, I guess.
Melee kills should give blood on hands debuff. Blood on hands is a stacking debuff that lasts a few hours and increases your aggro range for zombies. Blood on hands can be removed by visiting bodies of water. Zombies are attracted to blood, and thus freshly killed players. Zombies who feast on freshly killed players for ~2 minutes get blood frenzy, in blood frenzy they group up and erratically wander the city in search of more to feast on. players with blood on their hands will be at high risk as these zombies will have an even higher sense of smell for that (and also will attack as a group). Gun Shots should attract zombies to the noise from much further away making campers have to constantly move position. Fuck you hammer bandits. The end.
Aight so a little bit ago I was doing my thing going through the city. I entered a building and began to loot it. I hear a gunshot and begin to hide and such. Then I start to get a bunch of hard to understand messages and such. I just keep saying "I'm a friendly don't shoot" and so forth. But after a bit of searching on the floor board the name "Joan-<something>" didn't exist yet they were still messaging in proximity. I decide to bail and run out of the building but to that I got greeted with "Comeback" so... yeah... what's that about?

This is actually a great observation. We all kind of assumed that the Oct 31 access was going to be beta. But they could consider "beta" at any point in time, really.
Oct 31 is just a time that survivors get to play. Doesn't necessarily mean "game is now beta".
I still think we should metal canteens and water purifying tablets. Makes it easier to find water since there are a shit load of lakes in Colorado so far
I still think sounds and sights should only attract zombies, while smell should aggro them.

I do agree this game is a bit more 'arcadey' but that's a terrible word for it. 'Basic' is a better term, the complexity behind DayZ is that it's got realistic bullet physics (to a degree), the ability to lean around corners while standing and crouched and how you can roll about. Although I'm not entirely sure if they fit in a zombie game but the issue here is that DayZ and WarZ seem to focus more about interaction between players then interaction between the subject of the games; zombies.

I don't really mind the 'arcadey-ness' because I play the game to have intense moments such as getting pinned down by a sniper, or being worried around food. In DayZ you can get similar if not the same moments and that's why I think a lot of people migrated.
Apparently zombies are bugged again, can't be aggro'd. It's turned into a bandit killing frenzy.

Yeah now lets pray for them to manage to detect and ban all the hackers because I'm only going to start playing tomorrow and I'm already afraid those fuckers will ruin all the fun for those of us who are late to the party.

They never stopped hackers in War inc. Do you think they will in War Z? There are already tons of hackers out in this alpha. No game is "hack proof", if you know what you are doing.
I'm not normally one to ask for things, but I'm just going to throw it out there that I'd love a key if someone has a spare. You'll have my eternal friendship.
All gone. God damn I got swarmed all at once.
