Magazines are used in most guns while clips are used in rifles, kar98k and the m1 Garand for example.
People referring magazines as clips are idiots.

Holy fuck there is a VSS in this game, apparently it is ultra rare. I hope later on during later developement that this weapons won't be for those people who have those damn gold coins.
Anyways something that I do not understand is that on the official site, the FAQ states that no pay to win model or any real world money would be used in order go gain advantages and items ingame. But when I first played it, I immediately noticed the gold coins. So what's up with that? Can you earn them?
Also for some reason, the normal money got really scarce. I barely find any money at all.

I recall Sergey saying that there will never be actual firearms available in the cash store. So no, there will not be a VSS on sale there. Ever.
The thing is, that that the situation is pretty much similar to Team Fortress 2's. You don't HAVE TO use any real money to buy ANYTHING from the store, and to earn gold coins, I recall Sergey saying that killing special zombies and taking their blood, then selling it is a way to earn those.
The normal money doesn't play a big part in the game yet, but I hear you can find some off dead zombies you kill.
Team Fortress items have a great impact on the gameplay though, so are the items that are being sold in the shop in WarZ. You can buy better equipement right off the start, weapon modifications and other useful supplies.
I just hope that this game won't turn into a microtransaction fest, one of the things that I most despise.

You can earn them later-on when you hunt "stem-cell zombies" that give you stem-cells that you can use to create vaccines that you can sell to npc's for gc.. That's how it goes iirc.
Oh, and the GC's are kinda useless unless you want to buy shit that you can find by looting for 10 minutes.
How can I obtain the new characters? Also what purpose does the vaccine have? I found several of those but it was to no use of me.

You can obtain the new characters by buying them with GC's.

To be honest I would prefer if you could unload clips for their rounds and use them for other guys that can use the specific mm.

They need to fix the sounds when walking on certain materials, its very loud and you can hear it from far distances.

The only people who get upset about the term clip and mag being used incorrectly is someone with aspergers and a person who thinks they're a know it all when it comes to guns.
Most people (All the people I've gone to the range with - police, hunters, casuals, etc) all use the term clip and mag incorrectly. It does not fucking matter, we know what people mean when they say it. I collect and shoot guns regularly and don't care what term people use.
Considering I have 7 hammers I'll give away 5 of them.

What is wrong with the Vel guy who wanted to trade 20 weapons and a few C-Mags for a sniper rifle?
He added me on Steam, I asked him about the trade, he goes offline and deletes me from his friendlist.

Blackmac and I just tried to take on a group of 6+ people. We followed the out of a safe zone debating whether to to kill them or not, and I decided to see if I could close the distance without being spotted and blend into the group and see how long it took them to notice. They ended up spotting me, and one of them blindsided me with a shotgun as I looked on with my binos and handgun. Mac dropped him from behind where I was, then it became something of a clusterfuck. Another one ended up dead, and another tried to flank Mac and got shot. The rest ran away. He went back to the safezone and stashed tons of medical supplies, 2 shotguns, 2 pistols, ammo, and 11 binocs.

Not bad, out of all the rifles though you should be using the M4 semi if it has ammo, does the most damage out of them all (fuck logic says the devs).
