had a quick session..joined the most possible low populated server went all my way from..well the place i go t the pickaxe from( WICH IS FUCKING AWESOME) killed like 10 zombies with just a few hits so well got myself an med backpack, a fucking shit load of painkillers(20) and food ,water etc im now in the quest for guns.... looted clearview but found nothing whats the best place to get a gun? and DONT say campos thats fucking rape city

I'm really bad at NOT shooting other players. I'm so paranoid I just shoot everyone not in my group. I feel really bad after. Then, to try to make up for it, I decided to trust someone. They shot me. :(

I like Boulder so much, the flooding gives it a nice touch. Espcially during the night.

The bridge is the only good place that loot spawns.

The map itself though is more thoughtful than DayZ generated rolling hills and has more landmarks. Hackers, oh man, the hackers. There are a few hacks I know of that work. The most popular one is a subscription model and if people are using that (and I know most hackers are) then that guy is making a killing, because there are so many hackers on here. There are some hacks that are just chameleon hacks that are free to use, and I'm gonna guess that a majority of players use them because the hackers with the better hacks have a massive advantage in knowing where you are. Chams is generally undetectable. They need Punkbuster or something because their inhouse anti-cheat sucks. In a large server, nearly every group of players will have a hacker amongst them spotting. Sometimes several. The other MAJOR problem (bigger than hackers in my opinion) is server hopping. There is little point exploring a server, because all the good places have players camped at them, hopping between servers picking up all the loot and then stashing it, or you'll be exploring a place and then someone hops in and kills you. Why? I can't comprehend how it is enjoyable logging into server after server after server. It's all going to get wiped soon anyway. They need a timer so you can't change servers for 30 minutes or something. I enjoy the gunplay, I enjoy the PVP when it is fair (no hackers) and I enjoy the survival aspect of it. Zombies are not a threat on their own, but in a group, they are pretty rough, especially since they run faster than you, and while you can outsprint them, you don't have unlimited stamina. If they can fix up server hopping, the game will be WAY more enjoyable. If server hopping continues as is, I can't see it lasting very long. The majority of the playerbase will get bored of never finding anything. No water, no chips, no granola. It's just a ghost town. No zombies either.

I'm too paranoid to even walk around with a m16 because I know I'm going to just be ambushed by bandits and lose my shit.

I'm sort of regretting letting my DayZ fanboy of a brother play the game for a week. All he has done is stay at the airfield and eat every now and then before alt-tabbing to read something online.
