Dear lord I'd heard some stuff about Sergei but I hope the stuff above isn't true, if they stop development they're gonna have a lot of people asking for refunds, some may go out of their way to even sue them, but the hacking thing seems right, 0.8% sounded too low for the amount of hackers you'd encounter, also the character name thing not being traced back to hacking if you delete the char sounds like bullshit, I'm pretty sure they keep logs. Either way if this game ends up failing and they shut it down I'm not gonna complain, had my money's worth and I'd have probably paid just as much for a 1 month subscription for some MMO, and there's plenty of other zombie games coming out in the near future.

I can't see why there is so much hate on this game, seriously. The amount of people saying that this game is shit and they stopped playing on the first 10 minutes is just sad. I've never had any hype for this game, quite the opposite since i heard of the bugs and hackers and all the problem of the alpha stage, and i still loved it! I've been playing this game for 3 days now and i've never faced any major bug that prevented me from playing nor have i faced any hackers, atleast i think i haven't. The 25 bucks i payed for this game were really worth it, and i'm very surprised. And no, i'm not sergey.

You kind of need to hack in order to see some hackers. Ill be the first to admit and hopefully this doesent get me banned but i bought a 2 day trial of everything except for noclip. The amount of hackers in the servers are amazing. A very few amount of them actually kill people they simply speedhack around taking guns through walls and server hop. Another set of people just do what i do and get the esp. Ever wonder how they knew you were coming from around the corner? About 60% of the people hacking that weren't/couldn't speedhack were using ESP and looked at me through the wall and watching the door for me to come through once i got close enough. Now i didnt use these hacks for anything but experimental purposes. Though with the last hour of it i went around with mossbergs 1 shotting people from half way across the map with nospread with some people which was fucking hilarious.

I do think it was a little harsh for them to ban his game account and close his alleged rage thread. [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] Devin was one of those 10-15 year old mods they hired because of forum activity. Damage control or not, I have trouble believing him atm.

I mean really guys, he was a forum mod. On most games that means they don't do shit other than make sure the forums stay clean.

The advice for hackers worries me the most, along side the claim of they'll stop development if the game is going the way it apparently is. Because that's something that can happen.

Because that's something that can happen.[/QUOTE] Devin's pretty much universally hated by the War Z forum community for being a terrible moderator (deleting threads made by those he disagrees with, banning for no reason other than personal grudges, etc.), and his account being compromised was the last straw. His advice for hackers is probably valid but other than that I'd take what he says with a grain of salt. Even moderators who weren't criticized by him are vouching for his butthurt.

Honestly I think they gave up on updating the game.

I do not get why people are upset about the updates, you cannot really except that they update the game every week. Although some new changes would be rather nice, there are still tons of bugs.
