You know what, screw it. I loved the game. I didn't hack. But after getting canned responses about the latest ban wave from mods on the forum and no response from the support team, I phoned xsolla and got a refund over paypal. Took less than 2 minutes. I only asked for a $15 refund, since I played the game and wanted a refund for the part of my survivor pack I never received, but they gave me a full refund. If you got banned, just do this. WTF are they banning people for during a testing phase.
Apparently I was banned the second time for exploiting. No idea what that is. And if they mean duping, surely my global inv would have more than 4 mossbergs and a few jerichos in it.
Convenient how it is on sale after a ban wave....

Nope. Not until it's out of alpha officially and they sort their shit out. Not gonna risk getting a ban again for no good reason. It's officially in alpha, as stated by the devs, yet they are banning people for exploiting? It's their problem if people are exploiting and the solution is to fix the exploit, not ban the exploiters (I wasn't. I mean, I've server hopped, but who hasn't, but I've never duped. Not sure what other exploits there are)
edit: I just had a thought. Their primary method of detecting hacks is by screenshot (war z sends screenshots to their server every so often). No screenshot or chams screenshot = hacks. But what happens if you are alt-tabbed? I alt-tab a lot, especially on low pop servers, because it is relatively safe to do so, to chat on steam or whatever. What happens with the screenshot when it is alt-tabbed? Does it go through blank? Sometimes when I have alt-tabbed back into the game, the graphics are all glitched for a few seconds. Since they have never released any screenshots of people hacking, or even logs, it is pretty hard to dispute a false positive.
I want to unlock the other two survivors.

Wow, i really thought they officially weren't banning people for exploiting bugs... I think they changed their mind since people are rage quitting the game because of the abusers.
But they fully refunded you, that's a good sign.
The only thing i do that may or may not be called exploiting is switching servers whenever a sniper spots me, other than that i think i'm cool.

The War Z devs didn't refund me. I went over their heads and through xsolla, the company that deals with all their payments. Initially, I launched a dispute in paypal, and called up xsolla over the phone and said they couldn't refund me until I had cancelled the dispute. They told me to call back. I kept them on the phone and said, I'll cancel it right now. I go to the cancel dispute page and it says "once cancelled, this cannot be reopened" so I double check that they can actually refund it. They say "yes" and since they aren't War Z devs, but a third party, I believe them. I cancel my dispute and then they refund me my $30 and paypal puts it straight back onto my credit card.
I swear, when I first gave my email and receipt number, I could have heard the sales assistant say "another War Z refund", to one of her colleagues.

So what do they plan on adding to this game? I like it but I find it quite, bare I guess. Just when you spawn sometimes it's so boring walking places, needs to be more like cabins or something and accessible buildings.

Not much in my opinion. They'l probably add in strongholds and server hosting, but all that stuff Sergey said about people setting up their own rules in strongholds is probably bull. Remember when he said some guy set up an arena and people paid money to enter and fight zombies. Bullshit.
Obviously I am a bit burnt, and now I am completely banned from the forum for posting the above stuff, but I played since the 15th and loved every hour of it (except for the 24 hour ban for exploiting which was never explained to me).
I doubt they will add vehicles. I doubt they will add bounties. I doubt the servers will be online a year from now. None of this comes from that forum mod that was banned, but my experience with the devs and the moderators.
Their customer service is atrocious. They don't communicate with their community. Their response to legit questions about bans is "we are 100% no false positives on hacks and exploits" and provide no evidence. Their TOS actually allows them to ban someone for disrupting another person's game experience (read paragraph 2g), so you could technically be banned for server hopping, player killing or whatever they decide on the day.
I don't think it is a scam. There is obviously a game here that is playable. But I also don't think they can deliver what they promised. And they aren't following any kind of testing schedule in order to improve the game. Their idea of improving the game is ban everyone that figures out an exploit or bug. (keep in mind that even though I was told I was exploiting, they still haven't explained what exploit, when, where etc. I know it wasn't duping, because I haven't done that, and my inventory only has a few guns in it).
