I was thinking about requesting a refund off of the sinking ship, but with a credit card it'll take like a week which sucks. I'll just see what happens Tuesday or if we see another empty update or unmet deadline.

If you did it via xsolla, who handle most of their payments, it takes about 5 minutes.

Really? I talked to one of their supports and she told me it would be 3-7 working days. I didn't use PayPal which I figured would be instant.
oh, I used paypal, so it was instant. Got the refund while I was on the phone.

Sounds like some people are being falsely banned, which has been happening ingame e.g like the jump on car get kicked and banned for 24 hour bug(which has been fixed for ages.)
1.The anti-cheat engine has been kicking innocents and banning them,
2.People report it and say they can't play,
3.Dev's ignore their messages,
4.People are pissed.
Thinking of getting a refund too... shit isn't going right here. Better leave the sinking ship.

You don't have to call them, you can do it via online support chat too. Works the same as if you call them by phone. Give them your order ID and email and they should give you a refund without asking any questions.

I said "Hi, I'd like a refund on a purchase". They asked for my order number and email I purchased with, and 5 a few moments later, it was done. Seriously, you need to get out now. And if you bought a $50 pack, refund it and buy the $15 one if you still want to play, because you will more than likely not get to use that 6 month stronghold server
I'm actually curious as to how many refunds they have given.

I'm going to wait another day or two, if the devs really are as incompetent as people are saying and the game does seem like it's hopeless then I might as well join the party.
I feel like i've already earned my money's worth, though, so even if I don't get a refund and the game does die I won't feel too bad about it

I was just reading on some other forums they are starting to deny refunds to people who were banned. I suggest you follow my steps and make a direct phone call, don't give them a reason for wanting a refund. Perhaps if they ask, say that the goods provided wasn't what was advertised or something. I didn't give any reason. I didn't even give my (true) sob story about my daughter in hospital and how I couldn't have even been playing the game.
There have been rumors of the devs abandoning the game. So i think it's wise to get refunds while you still can.
You can always buy the game again if they fix it at some point.

Clam down, give them a chance to sort this out! Nothing thats brand new is completely without flaws!
If too many people actually ask for a refund from the game, the devs indeed WILL abandon the game... Just think about it for a second, what if they aren't going to abandon it but too many give up their hope on the game and the devs will shut down the game.
You are giving them a reason to quit developing the game.

I jumped on the refund bandwagon, turns out it was easier than expected, had it over and done with in under 10 minutes.
