I still don't know what's the bad deal about this game. I played it for more thant 30 hours now and it's just amazing and promissing for an alpha.
Haven't seen any hacks or any bugs that pisses me off, actually this game never pissed me off in these 30 hours.
The game won't fail because of the pre-orders, they had enough money even before they started pre-selling the game.

Blinded by your ignorance I see.
Other than the fact that they ban innocent people; they are going to leave the game if they don't make enough profit? No one wants a game that devs wont even fix.
But I want to say if they just drop the game because they aren't making enough profits, you should be able to sue. Also for the fact that they are banning innocent players just so they buy the game again. Thats shady/illegal business actions.
I never liked the look of the game when it was announced. Then I actually played it and for it to be released not long after the time I played it, the game was in a horrible state and as if it should be in another year of development.
Then all this banning comes along, I'd rather just refund, I've had bad thoughts about this game since the start

Thank god the dipshits are leaving early then!

Actually when i started playing this game i was very open minded, maybe that's why i liked it.
Also:
1. Cheat
2. Pretend not to have cheated, rage on the forums and make people get refunds
3. ??
4. Throw yourself in front of a moving car.
I know i'm probably acting like a fanboy, but if i am then it's because this game deserves it.
I have nothing against dayz, so i'm probably not being a fanboy.
Never played dayz for i won't buy 2 arma games just to play a mod. I will look forward to the stand-alone though.
I will probably end up playing bot warz and dayz since both are very different.

How can people be so stupid?
$15 is that big of a deal to you people? Jesus christ, avoid McDonald's for one day and you've just paid for the game.
I understand if people have been banned wrongly. That's a totally acceptable reason to ask for a refund.
But "Getting off this sinking ship" is the worst reason for a refund. You bought their game. You paid for the alpha and you played the alpha.
You people are the customers who go to restaurants and eat most of the meal then complain that your last few mouthfuls taste bad.
They have put in the work to make this game available to you. You knew it was an alpha and they had a bunch of development left to go. Yet they gave you a game you wanted early, so they could test it and try and come up with solutions to any problems. Sure they might be screwing up here and there but they are trying to manage a massive community of people complaining about EVERY FUCKING THING even though its A FUCKING ALPHA. They've got a ton of pressure to deliver and you are demanding $15 back because you got killed by a hacker who magically got around their anti-cheat which they are still working on.
I know I'm probably going to be rated dumb or something for this but seriously.
Wake up to yourselves, you fucking losers.
I don't even want the game tbh, why should I have a 15$ game sat there which I won't touch. I'd prefer to buy McDonalds than have War Z, since atleast they will deliver my burger in full
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
Also they actually said it was going into beta 31st october, I think. They rushed the development way too much. Not to mention they have half the game already made for them, they could atleast spend a year+ making a brilliant game rather than rushing it
I don't even want the game tbh, why should I have a 15$ game sat there which I won't touch. I'd prefer to buy McDonalds than have War Z, since atleast they will deliver my burger in full
Are you telling me that you never-ever-EVER before bought a game and barely touched it after the first few times of playing it?
Well, I know I have done that plenty of times... For example, Shogun 2... I played that game for 30 minutes, paid full price and never touched it again.
I don't even want the game tbh, why should I have a 15$ game sat there which I won't touch. I'd prefer to buy McDonalds than have War Z, since atleast they will deliver my burger in full
Let's think of it this way:
You buy a burger at mcdonalds, they are still making it, but they are too nice to let you waiting so they give you free French Fries.
Same thing with the war z. You didn't buy the alpha, you bought the game that will be released in the end of 2012.
You didn't get the burger you paid for, you got the french fries, so just be pantient and wait for the burger.
If the burger you paid for isn't what you expected then you can ask for a refund, but you can't ask for a refund on the free french fries.

yup
and they're entirely entitled to getting a refund, and you crying about how it's "only 15$ dollars" isn't going to change a goddamned thing
15$ is a lot of money to a lot of people, just because it's not much to you, doesn't mean we can all blow money on games that aren't working
get a fucking grip.

So what?
You bought it and used it.
So you're saying if you were to bite your burger and try return it saying "I don't want this to be honest". They'd just be like "Oh no problem at all!, gosh we love giving people free tastes of our meals then them returning our product that used our time and money to make. Hey buddy, thanks for this. We really appreciate it."
Wrong.
They'd be like, "No, you stupid fuck.".
That's actually what happens. You can go into a fast food restaurant and if you're not happy with it, too cold, etc you can get another, maybe even a refund if you push it.
Also, WarZ gave me a half baked burger with mould growing on the side. Not even gonna bite it.

In other news: Games that work are essential to life.
Buddy, I spent my money on a game for entertainment. Not so I can continue to breathe oxygen and my stomach stays full.
It's not very entertaining though. Would prefer more oxygen and food

You bought the burger half baked, it was your choice.

No, in fact most restaurants would either refund you, or give you something for free.
In fact, on the most food products you'll find a number you can call to get a refund if you weren't satisfied with it.
what the flying fuck would be the point of refunds if you couldn't return something you'd used.

"buddy", this might be the only game that some people get to enjoy a month because of tight budgets
not everyone is you.

they aren't allowed to be so hostile.
Also if you go back through the drive through and are like "hey x is wrong with my food" they'll get you a new w/e you ordered.

That logic says I can have whatever I want for free everyday, as long as I'm unhappy with it.

Then you obviously have more things to worry about than what game you should be playing each month.
Get a second job or something. You'll have more money, and won't buy games you can't afford because of how busy you are, which will lead to you becoming less of a whiner on an internet forum.
Either way I'm done arguing about how McDonald's works.
I saw the thread had a bunch of new posts and thought an update was released.
Turns out it's just a bunch of dickheads jumping on a refund bandwagon because they're worried they might lose a little money over a game that isn't even finished yet.

that is the shittest argument I have ever heard
who's the one whining about utilizing a right they have as a consumer? WAAH WAAH PEOPLE ARE GETTING REFUNDS WAAAH
get a second job, what are you even talking about
are you honestly suggesting that people shouldn't be getting refunds because they should just have the money to throw away?

are you actually dumb
that logic says that if you're not satisfied with a product, you can ask for a refund.
Whether or not you get one is down to the situation and the entity giving the refunds. People are asking for them, and people are getting them, cry a river.

ONE OF US
ONE OF US
People have opinions, people have small budgets, etc...
Who gives an absolute shit, why someone else wants a refund, who are they to you. End of thread rant, everyone go back to zombies.
There is quite a false sense of entitlement coming from some people here. If a game or a movie or a book doesn't live up to it's potential you don't get a refund. You get to complain, you can boycott it and you can decide to never buy a game from the same studio again but you aren't entitled to a refund. If the rumours are true (which are very doiubtful) then let Hammerpoint ruin whatever reputation they have and laugh as they crumble but for goodness sake stop declaring your entitlement to your money back.
Bunch of cheap bastards in this thread if you ask me...
Again, why do any of you care about a bunch of strangers on the internet getting a refund for a game you so dearly love. No one cares, at all.
What people do with their money may be right or wrong in your eyes but who the hell cares.
