They also have to test each feature to be sure it's not going to fuck up. But this forum is getting to be too much of a hate thread for a game that is in early development and still has a lot of potential.
I have no issues with this game. Hackers are a pain, yes. But I have actually not encountered one yet, and the bugs aren't that bad. I'll continue to play and enjoy this game, why? Because it's still developing. I'm not dropping out of a test phase in the game. I already payed, and I'm sticking with this until the end.
It's not the hacks. Surprisingly, hacks make the game more fun (I have only started hacking since I have been playing on the free servers). They work two ways. You can either use them to avoid other players, and do your own PvE thing, OR, and here is the best part - since everyone else on the free servers are hacking, even the GM's, you can use it to find the action, and go there. You aren't at any disadvantage, unless you go up against a GM and do obvious stuff like aim at them through a wall, and it's quite fun to outhack the other players. Clearview is hilarious fun when everyone has ESP and you are all trying to pretend you don't, and fake each other into getting into the open. And when you die, since there are no server hoppers, it is pretty easy to get back into the game by finding a gun.
The best thing that the real War Z could do is put in ESP (markers showing where nearby players are, not wireframe or chams or anything), and fix server hopping. The only people that would complain about that are the hackers who try to get an unfair advantage. If everyone had some form of ESP, no problemo. Game is just a rage generator otherwise. Nobody wants to play for 3 hours and get killed by a hacker.
So I played this again after a month or so of not playing. I joined a low-pop server and went to Campos, figuring that since everyone would probably be exploring the new areas I'd have less of a chance of encountering bandits going to the starter area. I was on the third floor of a building, in the middle of the night, with a flashlight. Either they improved zombie AI to be responsive to flashlights or they finally decided to spawn zombies in the buildings themselves (when I last played, pretty much every building would be mysteriously devoid of zombies even if there are a bunch in the surrounding city), because I ended up getting ganked by three zombies. With no nearby things to stand on for safety, I died quickly. Damn, and I managed to find several medkits, too. I don't think I've ever seen any such items before.

Wow. Reading this makes me never want to play the game again. Might as well get a refund...

Don't worry, you would have been rather disappointed to find out that jumping on cars won't really save you anymore.

Yeah, I noticed that on the way to said building. Jumping on vans or tables still helps, though.

Not sure why. I was describing the free version of the game (link is earlier in the thread). The real game is just completely broken because you risk getting banned and losing money for hacking, but there is no real way to combat it at the moment. In the real game, basically, if you don't want to die by a hacker, stay out of clearview and campos.
Everywhere else is just full of hoppers who will kos.

The game developers are so corrupt

The AKM is a piece of shit...
You cant hit anything with it. I just tried to shoot a guy that was like 20 m away from me.
It took me 15 shots to hit him ONCE...
Man that was embarrassing :smith:

I kill people with a few shots of it, it's my favorite automatic weapon
Well if you want a refund super fast, just call the toll-free number, they ask for the order then refund it instantly.
Is the current map really the fully opened map of Colorado? It seems there still is a big part which can be opened up.
Can I get a refund even though I bought this awhile ago?
If you have already gotten a refund it'd be cool if you shut the fuck off out of this thread. No need for negativity in here any more because you guys obviously are great and beat the system and obviously will have no further input or experiences to share about this game.
When the game is out on steam I hope you all will come crawling back.
I'd rather they don't :v:

By the time it's out on Steam, other games will have wiped the floor with it. I won't be crawling back for sure, unless there's a miracle. No reason to be mad about it though, it's our personal decision if we do. So we can't check in the topic and see if anything's changed because that might offend you?
So I just read that you have to pay real money for extra clan slots (the standard being just 4 slots)
fucking lol
Well, in a way that's good. It'd keep all those stupid clans, that invite everything that moves, small.

how is it good that you have to pay to use a feature which is implemented for free (and is usually expected) in most online games
as if being able to pay for weapons wasn't bad enough
Creating clans no longer takes GC to create. To create a clan you must have 20hrs of played time. Once you create a clan you will have 20 slots and an additional 20 slots will cost 700GC.
Cleaned up some clan error messages
Fixed lag in the UI from going to the Community Tab
Improved the profanity filter
New females now have the appropriate female sounds
Well there's that.^
But you didn't really read my post did you, Noss? I meant it as a joke to keep clans like MLG to a smaller size.

Ah, they must have changed it to 20 then.
that clan thing is pretty terrible tbh
and...why do they keep trying to add these points everywhere? first characters, now clans then they realize the horrible thing they were doing and well at elast it has been changed
still it doesnt give a excelent view of theyr dev plan
Yay found my first barricade.
Would anybody fancy a partnership to explore the new areas? I'm also low on food but can trade a pistol, empty m-16, 4X 12g and meds. I'm currently located in a low-population server, just north of the airport, I might check it out as I haven't yet. Any friendlies?
