Nothing has really gone into detail about it, you know how vague their patch notes are...
The patch notes say you can use a secondary weapon (pistol) and a melee now, but i cant do it still... Weird

It's because those aren't patch notes. Those are answers a dev gave during an AMA.

i created a new char after not playing for a few weeks
get into a city with god knows how much zombies... only had the kurrger you get after the wipe
Saw a a player who is looking at another player...so ..well i had to do it.. i started shooting at him doing a few shoots.. as soon as i saw that he equipped a pistol i empiied my whole mag in him.. behind him there was another player..possibly his friend so i killed him too and a loot splotion came
M16,Ammo,Alice backpack,food,water god knows how fucking much they had
So now i have a 9mm pistol,another krugger, 9mm ammo, an M16,Ammo for my m16, alice BP, shit load of antiobiotics and foooood!
i dont like killing people but i dont trust in anybody unless its from FP or a friend :V
Should i save what i have and head to the closest safezone and store it there? i dont wanna meet another bandit and loose it all

Yeah snipers seem to be impossible to find now.
I know a guy who just started playing, server hopping in the tunnel and he finds a sniper, lucky bastard.
how it comes everyone and theyr momma has guns now? i only have the pistol that you get after the wipe

Anyone think they will balance the PVP to let players that have nothing give them a chance.
Really annoying that you still haven't got an excuse to team up nor is it user friendly to new players.

sure.. the game has PVP as a core factor but for fuck sake its a zombie survival game

They really need to get the voice chat that arma 2 has into warz, typing "friendly" or "don't shoot i have nothing" even warning other players that you'll shoot takes too damn long to type.
When i played teaming up with strangers was annoying since talking in proximity was a hassle and basically gave your position away.
Another problem that prevents teaming up is that weapons are too easy to hide, there was no animation when i played (don't know if they fixed this) with the player switching weapons, so a bandit can make them selves look unarmed then instantly brings out a shotgun and blasts you in the face.

I like it when I clear out a small fenced-in area, walk over behind a wall to kill a lone zombie, and then 5 more zombies spawn in the area I just left, and because of the god-awful zombie/footstep sounds, I can't even hear them run up to me.
i find my first fucking sniper after me and a bandit have a staredown (a rather funny one) for about an hour. we actually became friends, and then a hacker with god mode spawned behind him and instant headshot him. i grabbed the sniper through the wall and tried to kill the hacker, but i didn't know they had godmode. i was so fucking pissed, because i headshot him 3 times.
Had a good run with 4 of my friends, encountered another group (or so he said, only one guy spoke) but he never approached us, probably just a scared guy bluffing, found a bunch of armors and guns, most of them it was me carrying them as I found them first (they really rage about that :v:).
All of a sudden in the middle of nowhere in the forest while going back to the safezone they all got shot by a guy with a pistol, funny thing is nobody saw this guy, I'm pretty sure he was using ESP but no aimbot as I was farther away from where they died and I instantly proned as I heard shots, didn't even move and the guy said in proximity: "keep going or I'll kill you too", my buddies stayed connected waiting for him to go pick up the loot and warn me, as he picks up the loot I approach his direction again while taking cover behind a tree and he stops taking the loot to type: "I said don't come any closer or I'll kill you too", I kept going to the safezone and waited for him behind a tree and once again not a little while after he starts shooting at me, actually got me once then I ran to the safezone while firing back with my mp7 to keep him away, made it there and waited for him but he never showed up (at least he didn't come into the safezone) but he still said "I'm off bb", smug bastard.
Funny thing is, the other guys were just carrying a pistol each and an AK, I had an M4 with 3x STANAG 45, MP7 with 4x MP7 30, a B92 and a Jericho + 2x 9mm magazine, 2 vests and 2 large backpacks besides the medium one I was using, plus a few hammers and bandages. So he pretty much let the guy with the valuable loot get away, joke's on him :v:

Great, the official trailer show only PK, it's great for new player. We'll never see coop in this game.
