holy shit did they seriously rip off crysis's weapon customization
They ripped their original TOS from League of Legends. They ripped the game name from World War Z They ripped the idea from Day Z They ripped a lot of models from their previous game War Inc. They ripped the weapon customization from Crysis At this point if you find something that wasn't ripped from somewhere else, let me know :v:

gee what a rip
can you spot what is wrong with this quote
I keep saying this but, call the number on the xsolla site, you cant be ignored then, when i called i was put through straight away.
this is the warZ game ive ever played
This game is awesome, you guys are just playing the wrong version. I just don't like how foliage in this game isn't rendered from afar, it makes it much too easy for snipers to spot and pick people off from really far away.
Just finished loading into a game only to be met by a "You are dead" screen. Apparently I was eaten by zombies during the loading screen. There should be something done to the spawn system in this game, without a doubt.

For camping at safe towns. Instead of a straight switch from PvP mode to safe mode. There should be a short timer that activates when you enter or exit the border. That way people won't be able sit right at the line and open fire and get instant safety. With a timer, campers wouldn't be as safe from others as they be stuck in PvP mode for a bit for crossing the line. It would be more dangerous to camp borders. Server hopping could be an easy fix by simply locking characters to servers until they are killed. Until they are, they have enjoy whatever server they joined. Better make sure you joined one you wanted first. The spawning into a building with characters already in positions. A bit difficult to solve, but I figured a character that disconnects in a city can only spawn back in server, outside the city in a random location. It fix server hopping a bit too. People wouldn't be able to park their other characters in buidlings or safe areas so they can't spawn in to get the drop on people.
Well, one could at least have a timer of say 30 minutes? Before being able to join a different server again. I don't think the timer would help the safe zones that much though(or maybe I'm just reading that wrong?) Highly agree on spawning outside of cities though.
If you entering a safe zone; the moment you enter the border of the safe zone, you have to wait out a timer before you 'exit' PvP mode. If leaving a safe zone; the moment you leave the border you wait out a timer before entering PvP mode. Basically, people won't be able to just jump over the border into safe mode or PvP mode. They'd become game for others for a set amount of time. So campers won't have the luxury of God mode right as they step over the line. And the exiting timer would give people a chance to turn around and head back to the safe zone. Or prepare themselves for an attacker.
Fuck. Decisions decisions. About 10 guys on my clan play WarZ regularly. I got a 48 hour guest pass and played with them and I found the game pretty fun with friends (albeit pretty shit because it's probably the buggiest game I've ever played). It doesn't seem that expensive so I am thinking of buying it so I can play with my friends. I read the forums and it seems like it's not worth it. It doesn't seem like the game-breaking bugs will ever be fixed. Then again, I had plenty of fun while I played with them.
Its fun with friends but shit when alone. Then again friends can make anything seem fun.
Its fun with friends but shit when alone. Then again friends can make anything seem fun.
Except shitting. But yeah it's pretty boring without someone to complain to about the walking to.
A lot of players insulted me because I killed them, some of them had nothing on them. I am generally not a bandit or anything but if you move through a town and see some guy, you just start shooting because the atmosphere is hostile and the whole setting dark. I always get shot if I try to communicate in a friendly matter, so I have to adapt. Also if I am lucky to escape a firefight, I just leave. I never chase other guys down if it is not a direct threat.
Meh, really just want to see what they look like and such. Personally I don't mind if no one helps, though it would have been appreciated. And Deanwinchester, my reply goes to you really. I personally purchased hacks for the WarZ (level 1) so I could avoid hackers. So many hackers in the game that they're getting unbanned for being banned by the trap items, and then given 700GC because HP thought they were innocent. I already have the models, the textures, I am just curious as to why the textures are not appearing on the models. [editline]25th December 2012[/editline] And no it's not really. Just because I wish to see the models with textures does not mean it's obvious because I am a hacker. More script kiddy to be honest. I never made the hacks nor distributed them, as such I am a consumer/script kiddy.
Get a load of this guy I only cheat to avoid cheaters! Except in the process you're cheating those who aren't cheating, fuckface. It's children like you that really ruin the online fun from games for everyone. It's a good thing WarZ is absolute garbage to begin with And it isn't hacking. You're not a hacker, they aren't hackers. You're a bunch of fucking cheaters who have downloaded somebody else's programs. If you were to replace this scenario with say, being in prison, you would be the prison bitch

Game turned out to be pretty fucking sweet. But yeah when they make a shittier game while doing a rip off it becomes a hysterical shitstorm

I have a question. I used to play DayZ, but got tired of the lag, bugs, constantly changing AI, and the fact that it took forever to launch the game, get into a server, and respawn if you died. I was going to pick up War Z until several friends and reviews all yelled at me not to. Was at a cousin's house for Christmas yesterday to find out he's been playing it and loving it. I watched him play for a bit. It looked like DayZ to me with less lag, bugs, and much quicker and easier to get into games. I just want some honest opinions on this. I know people got upset about the product description on steam, the devs reaction to negativity, and the in-game cash store, but is the game by itself so bad? What I saw looked just like DayZ to me, am I missing some terrible aspect of the game or are most of the complainers just upset about the devs/cash shop and are just hating on the game as a whole because of it?

It isn't as unpolished as people say it is, but it's hardly AAA either. Even though I'm still major a fan of the game, I think that you should wait for DayZ standalone and see if Rocket's streamlined it more or not, then make your decision.
Bought it and played a bit. No complaints as far as graphics, navigation, AI, or looting. Everyone complains about hackers in the chat, are most people really hacking, or are people just getting upset when they die? Was crawling around in a town, no flashlight equipped or anything, pitch black, could barley see anything. Crawling near a fence and I'm shot in the head by a sniper. Not going to outright say the dude was hacking, but I could barely see the zombie in front me, so I don't know how he saw me and killed me in one shot.

Sadly, this game is rampant with hacks like ESP and aimbot, but most of the time when people complain about hacks, they arent really hacking, they just got lucky/are better at the game. Only believe a hacker-report if they add some info on what they did, like saying how the walked through walls (Quite popular hack), or if they instakilled a whole town. Most of the time when they say they "aimbotted" or had godmode, they are legit players. Also, if someone has a name with only random numbers and letters, they most likely hack, and russians also hack a lot. Anyway, just up the brightness a bit in options, and you can see just fine in the dark.
Have the devs said anything on taking care of the hackers, or are they more likely to ignore it?
Have the devs said anything on taking care of the hackers, or are they more likely to ignore it?
They are working on it, and have apparently made an anticheat, but it isnt really working as it should. I believe they are working on it though, as it is the only issue making the game near-unplayable.

When lower budget mmos or f2p games get poor sales and reviews, devs usually let hackers run rampant.
And the another big issue is how everything boils down to PvP. You'll get shot for simply entering a server. There are times where I can avoid or come out victorious as a PvPer. Or times where all my characters get killed with in minutes of each other, forcing me to delete some and try again. It's hectic at times and fun some times.
Yeah I don't know what can be done about the insane pvp. I know I would be fine joining up with other players to survive, but my first reaction when I see another player is that they're going to be hostile, and I react as such. Just like DayZ, you never meet a friendly stranger. Some may killing because they want to, but I'm sure a lot are scared of you attacking them.
How do I access my receipt for War Z? I finally received a reply for the first time in a month, so I don't want to mess this up. I already sent them a screenshot of the email I received when I made my initial purchase, however they are now asking for an image of the receipt. I assumed that's what I sent them but apparently not, so what the hell am I meant to be sending them here? :v: Any help would be appreciated.
