But if you play the Emulator version you won't get your very own katana!?
Don't you guys want a katana?
/jk
That vehicle thing will make WarZ even more of a joke than it is now. No more aim botters spotting you as you spawn, but car botters smashing into you as you spawn.
They still get the katana files with the WarZ update so the emulator devs can give everyone a thousand katanas if they feel like it :v:
Wait, there are people who actually play this piece of shit?
Shouldn't you have realized it's a blatant scam after steam took it down?

Did you hear how the devs are selling the very hacks that are ruining their game? Ofc, according to my reliable reddit-based sources it is all an extremely convoluted yet clever plan to squeeze more money out of their product Scam Z!
you know that someting is wrong when some random group who dident made the game are able to implement better and more features than the actual war z Devs
also i just tried the war z emulator and i find myself playing it more than the war z
for some reason it feels better...maybe becouse the fact that a good lot of hacks dont work there
ugh my friend and I are still waiting to get back into the emulator after they did that wipe. We've been actually contemplating buying the real game if this persists.
Was just in a standoff with 5 other players in clearview.
One group was made up of three survivors that knew how to roll as a team and came around after the first group died.
The other group was made up of two poorly equipped and rather dumb survivors that ended up forcing me to kill them.
Was sitting in the back of the post office trying to talk them out of the down for about 20 minutes when his friend tried to load in on an alt character conveniently placed in the back of the post office, but he ended up dead before he even fully spawned in.
After the gun fire his friend charged the front door and got wasted by three rounds of my AKM.
The other group was stacked up outside by a chest high wall rolling in a wedge formation saying they were heading to the police station and for me to stay away if I wanted to live.
I waited in the post office to see if they were going to try anything and they eventually announced that they were leaving the server and I was finally able to get out of that hell hole.
I need to really stop going to clearview.

Yeah man, also get this, did you know Sergey created Big Rigs! Like holy shit what the fuck it all makes sense.
there is no actual point of trying to cooperate with other people to achieve common goal, as there is none. You have no point of cooperating, other than wasting time or having fun with people you know.
Actually, the denser the population is near a loot spawn, the better the loot is, or so I've heard. So sticking together and holding down an area does have rewards.
Actually, it might be that it speeds up weapon spawn. I'm not sure. Once again, I'm not sure if this is true.

Sergey did link the site that sells the hacks on the forums recently, when the hacks temporarily went down.
good lord their report system is useless at this state. any time you kill someone, you have like, a 95% chance of being reported purely because you killed them.

Yup and you don't even need to provide proof for it, just type fairfight and then their name. Bamn reported. X killed Y, Y is butthurt, fairfight X, X is banned because he's a bandit who kills everyone he sees causing lots of reports.
I feel like just jumping servers and reporting everyone for laughs.
Guys just because you're reported a lot doesn't mean you're guaranteed a ban. All it does is alert the devs to check your stats. If any anomalies show up then you'll have a problem.

Hardly connects him to the site though. It would make sense keeping a close eye on the community tearing apart your game to see if your system is working or not.

The current War Z community is already doing a great job at taking itself apart, add that up with the Day Z fan legion and the r/gaming lynch mob and it's amazing how this game is still chugging along with relatively healthy player numbers. The devs can do what they want, they can ban all the hackers, they can modify this game and completely differentiate it from what Day Z is, hell they can make a game that cures cancer, either way it won't matter because people will bitch and moan about and that's just the way it is, it's much more entertaining to talk about something you hate on the internet than to talk about something you like.

My point wasnt connecting him to the site at all, just that hes a massive idiot for promoting the site by linking it in the warz forums, must of caused more people to buy hacks simply because he posted a link to the site selling them.

yeah? i got banned for supposedly "aimbotting". permanant.
Did anyone notice the terms of use was copied from League of Legends

They can change the game into a triple-A game, get 1000% rating on Metacritic, and become the most successful game ever, but it will always be the game that copied the ToS from League of Legends.

Really?
This may cause another huge blunder if it auto bans you when you get enough reports in a time period.
Seems to be a pattern emerging here where they unban everyone because they fucked up.
something i've found

You know, because some people like the game that has features and gameplay, unlike a scam which is to take your money and run without giving you a product? Me and the thousands who still play it, like the game, and since the devs are still developing it, i dont see how it is a scam.
Seems like if you have Mumble overlay it can get you banned.
The War Z emulator devs are apparently removing building glitches in every interior in the map, have vehicles in the works, and can possibly deliver stronghold servers in 2-3 weeks...
[editline]6th January 2013[/editline]
You will also be able to rent your own servers and put clan graffiti on certain parts of the map. It will appear there on every server.
All this while the regular War Z devs are just giving a katana to every player in the game.
So, the anti-hack is extremely effective?
It's a potato, then?

Damn, they might as well hand the game over to the guys that are making the emulator. They're actually getting shit done. While Hammerpoint are still trying to find out how to make a proper anti cheat so they don't have to buy a licence for a decent one.

It's not so much that the emulator devs have a better anti-cheat, it's just that nobody bothers making hacks for the emulator version and the little there is can be countered easily, the biggest problem for any game are the artificial aiming hacks because they're hard to detect, even Valve games still have issues with ArtificialAiming hacks.

Also i gather the servers on the emulator have admins that ban hackers.

The emu guys have also edited the client so it uses a better screenshot system and it actively scans for injections to do with the application, on top of that they also ask popular hack coders to make it so they don't work on the emu servers, eg. ICY Hook wont launch even after injection on the emu servers.
they changed it a LONG time ago. nice try buddy <3
..what do you mean, 'nice try', he's not trying to do anything. He's pointing out that they copy pasted the LoL ToS. I mean its great that they changed it, but they still did it, nothing they can do can change that. sorry dude.
