So, anyone have the Emulator working? I downloaded the client from their website, updated it as it said, replaced the files with the emulator files, and edited my host files correctly with correct IP, yet it just sits at trying to find the new updater. It's on build 0.9.3 The version I downloaded from them is 0.9.2, it skips the 0.9.3 update and goes to 0.9.4 then can't find any new updates. But the emulator files are 0.9.3 and won't skip the update check either. Also, I really don't understand people. Said fuck it and loaded into a quick match with an empty character (not a single thing on me) and got shot the second I stepped out of the safe zone by a group of 7-8 people. Why do people play this game just to act like that?
you have to get your application to use the emulator approved first.
The emu guys have also edited the client so it uses a better screenshot system and it actively scans for injections to do with the application, on top of that they also ask popular hack coders to make it so they don't work on the emu servers, eg. ICY Hook wont launch even after injection on the emu servers.
So a bunch of modders making WarZ more enjoyable and playable than the actual developers. How sweet.
I tried the emulator about two weeks ago, it was working fine. Now, it doesn't recognize my email/password when I'm trying to log in. Does anyone else have the same issue?
This is probably the worst studio ever. Devs are fucked up. They always want to fix it up but after what they did and said... It will be hard to gain trust to them. Scam Z. Heh. And It's not a Free To Play game.
We get it, you hate the game. Go away.
are the servers working for everybody else? Says for me Servers are unavailable on the startup client
are the servers working for everybody else? Says for me Servers are unavailable on the startup client
yeah, server status unavailable

holy shiz you can alredy rent servers in the war z emulator maybe some kind soul should rent one they are 60$ per month
We get it, you hate the game. Go away.
Its not just that. There is a lot of legitimate hate towards this game and what it tried to do. But anyway, I think this summarised it pretty well: http://themittani.com/features/war-z-lesson-greed
Now if only I could get into the emulated version. But they said they aren't activating accounts except on rare occasions.
what? i got my account activated 2 days ago aka i only waited one day for it to be activated
The WarZ Emulator just got 2 new melee weapons and building fixes. :v:
its amazing how frigging fast they pull the updates and they are actual IMPORTANT updates heck the war z emulator guys should be the ones that would had actually developed the game
I am going to reboot this game again in a couple of days. I hope that the game improved more!
its amazing how frigging fast they pull the updates and they are actual IMPORTANT updates heck the war z emulator guys should be the ones that would had actually developed the game
Well, to be fair a bunch of modders will work faster than the dev team as the team are the ones having to model, texture, and code everything in, the two melee weapons that were added were probably already in the game's code somewhere and they just re-compiled onto existing animations using hopefully new stats. In addition I'm just gonna ASSUME Hammerpoint Interactive probably consists of like 8 people, so a dev team typically consists of animators, coders, sound designers, development leads, you know stuff like that and no doubt some of those people are probably jerking off their existing duties working on the anti hack as that's a top priority because if it doesn't work this game sinks further than what it once was. The people at War Z emulator just have to wait for HI to release an update, then adapt it to their emulator, until then you mind as well develop some new stuff because these patches do have a quite a bit of time between one another.
So no matter what I do when I try to play the game the launcher can't find the server. It goes (Try 1-10) then tells me to check for a good internet connection or to let it through firewall. So I checked it and let it through but it still isn't working. I tried the host fix where you add the IP's to the file and save it or disable IPv6 and a lot of other bullcrap. I also can't get on their website. I downloaded the emulator files and put them in but I'm getting the same error constantly. Anyone find a fix that is longer lasting than all of the other ones scattered around the web.
Wait, so is everyone moving to the emulator thingy and abandoning the actual game?
Wait, so is everyone moving to the emulator thingy and abandoning the actual game?
In this thread a lot of people are jumping ship to the emulator since the hacks there are not at such an alarming extreme in addition to the ability to rent servers and some new weapons. I'm just holding off for the anti hack or when I feel like getting back into the game as right now there isn't TOO much pulling me back in.
Found out the NVG's make a good alarm system. If someone enters your proximity your goggles will turn off, if someone moves stuff in their inventory near you, they turn off, someone picks something up near you, they turn off. So it's a good early detection tool. Also, how do you go about getting your account activated on the emulated version? It says to register from the launcher, but everytime I launch the emulated launcher, it has my login information already filled in and there isn't a register option.
You have to wait for the devs to send out the next activation wave. Dumb system imo.

Domo just did a 200 ban wave on his 24/7 livestream (http://www.twitch.tv/warzdomo) , They said they should be doing another activation wave today.
In addition I'm just gonna ASSUME Hammerpoint Interactive probably consists of like 8 people
From interviews from team leaders its more like 5-8 people per team and each team to a section of the game (graphics, coding etc).
Its not just that. There is a lot of legitimate hate towards this game and what it tried to do. But anyway, I think this summarised it pretty well: http://themittani.com/features/war-z-lesson-greed
Well, when an emulator is doing better than the legit game with patches and hacking issues that is when you know Hammerpoint sucks. I believe the guys using the emulator are even working on vehicles? Got a feeling Hammerpoint might steal the code and models on the vehicles of the emulator.
I'm still not sure how to even download or install the emulator. Is there a tut somewhere?
I'm still not sure how to even download or install the emulator. Is there a tut somewhere?
On the emulator site, go to FAQ, I think it's the first answered question there.
Am I the only one that can't connect to any of the servers??
