IS there a gamemode similar to the Dayz gamemode, as in open map, just other players there and zombies. Or is it going to be restricted to missions?

The games linear, they just decided to make it MMO so all them 200 what ever players can walk down small corridoors and follow the same mission.

To be fair, I don't care how less zombies there are, how crappy animations maybe, I just want an open world to explore with the fear of zombies attacking, with atleast good netcode(? i'm crap with this stuff, but so they aren't as laggy as dayz, not comparing just saying) as they'll focus on it more, just searching a building for supplies without loading screens or worrying about that stuff... to me it'll be good because of that.

yes it was, as from what i have seen and watched so far, they seemed to constantly talk about "missions". I havent been reading this thread a huge amount as i only just started to look into it.

one of the gameplay videos of War Z most of the video they were talking about missions.
The players of the community can post missions on a board in a safe zone that other players can pick up and work on. It is not mandatory, and it is a speculation that people can be jerks and tell you to do something only to kill you when you get there.
The game is a free-roam zombie MMO.

Dude, the entire game is what you just described...
Honestly, the gameplay of this will probably be a good bit better than dayz because, well, for one, as far as I know you do not die when you walk into a door the wrong way.
