Anyone bought it with a card outside of the US? It says price:29.99 but does that convert from USD into GBP for example or is it 1 for 1?
It stays in USD.
1 More Day
Anyone else think the NDA is kind of a dick move? The people who bought the game early are going to be a huge contributer to the game's success yet they're not even allowed to take a screenshot of it.

i would but those streams usually get shut down pretty quickly by the mods if a dev requests it [editline]14th October 2012[/editline] besides making you pay for something then telling you you can't take any screenshots or videos of it until the 31st is a dick move
If the game turned out to be really good, an NDA would only harm it, as players would not be able to publicize how fun it is with videos, screenshots and streaming. It sort of seems like they're heavily enforcing this NDA because they think it's not going to be good, which worries me. I know there will still be plenty of people breaking the NDA, and I'll be looking out for that content before deciding if I should purchase this or not.
If someone would record a video about footage of a certain game and upload it to their dropbox or something then send me the link in a PM here on Facepunch tomorrow during the afternoon of October 15th, 2012 then yeah. I don't know, just something to think about. [editline]14th October 2012[/editline] [sp]I want to see the new zombie AI because me buying this game depends on it.[/sp]
They're enforcing an NDA because it's closed alpha. They want to limit what gets leaked.
Have we had any form of comfirmation about the quality of sound. Will it have strongly directional sound, like in DayZ? Because the sound in the clips so far sounds pretty bland and rubbish honestly. Yes it's alpha, yes placeholders, but have we heard anything about it from the devs?
They're enforcing an NDA because it's closed alpha. They want to limit what gets leaked.
But why? The NDA is going to go on until the second week of November, people are still going to talk about the game - they can't stop that, so why not allow us to take screenshots and videos? It makes no sense. Half the reason Day Z got so popular is because of the livestreamers and YouTube videos.

Buying the survivor pack, whatever this turns out to be it should at least be worth 11 quid.

They'll likely be releasing updates very frequently, wiping out bugs and improving the quality of the game over that short period considerably.
If I buy the Pioneer edition via paypal, does it add tax to it or is it still $29.99? I need to know since I have to balance out my card for other reasons.
If I buy the Pioneer edition via paypal, does it add tax to it or is it still $29.99? I need to know since I have to balance out my card for other reasons.
It's still $29.99.
Alright thanks! I think I'm going to purchase it today and is some facepunch members going to get a get-together tomorrow and maybe get a safe-house or something?
What time is it released in the UK?
What time is it released in the UK?
8pm, then if you count in the download time we shall only be playing at around 9 to 10pm.
Does anyone know how big the download would be?
Does anyone have any idea how long those discounts for the pre-orders are gonna stay? I'm thinking of getting the pioneer pack once I hear some people's impressions of the alpha but if it's gonna go back up to 49.99 I'd rather not get that.
It says on the purchase page that the discounts will last until October 20th, 2012
Does anyone know how big the download would be?
2-3 gb for alpha
2-3 gb for alpha
So if I have only bought the survivor's pack, should I still be able to download the game at alpha and the updates so that I can play as soon as the beta is open?
So if I have only bought the survivor's pack, should I still be able to download the game at alpha and the updates so that I can play as soon as the beta is open?
Most likely not, that would be kinda dumb actually.
I'd appreciate an invite if anyone doesn't mind giving me one, it was either buying this or the Borderlands Season Pass, went with the Season Pass because I want to either try this out or see more gameplay before I buy it.
Turns out I can't get it today or a few more days, will the alpha packs still be available on discount after tomorrow since the alpha is already released and will we be able to still play? I can't see why not but I thought it would be better to ask than regret it.
If i order tomorrow can i still play tomorrow?
So if I have only bought the survivor's pack, should I still be able to download the game at alpha and the updates so that I can play as soon as the beta is open?
Anyone can download the game but to play it you must login with a valid account, so yes.
God damn, my post was last post of the page, sorry but i need to know the answer to this question- If i order tomorrow, can i still play tomorrow?
If i order tomorrow can i still play tomorrow?
I would assume so, yes - as long as they're not out of stock or anything.

If I was a dev, I would be concerned if someone leaked footage and the comments all included complaints about too much loot when that was still being altered.
