I'll be keeping an eye on this, looks like it can become something amazing.
Or horribly fail, either way.

Also going to leave a motorcycle/chopper (If those vehicles are in the game) next to the note.
Thats neat actually, in DayZ being a huge bandit or murderer did nothing, in this it's hmmmm either be an outlaw who is going to be shot on sight or not kill people so I can earn money and be safe in town [sp]though only pussies go for the later[/sp] as in Dayz you more likely wanted to be by your self in the middle of no where and had a reason to murder everyone but now there is downsides. dammit beta start already.
Being an outlaw sounds actually fun and dangerous and being a normal survivor sounds safe, it's perfect.
Shit pageking, have pictures

the graphics look a bit too colorful to my eye. sure we've got a few too many Gray And Brown Is Realistic games nowadays, but somehow it feels like the zombie theme could use a bit less saturation
well i can just adjust the vibrance from my GPU settings i guess
Still waiting for Dead World

If the possibility to buy items with real cash doesn't offer stuff too powerful or game-breaking, then it's all the better.
I mean, imagine the scenario:
A young man exited the safe-zone. His name was xX_MLG-420-N0SC0PE_Xx, and next to his name there was another tag reading "Level 1". He has played this game only for a couple days, and his run-and-gun tactics taken by Call of duty got him slaughtered by zombies and bandits multiple times already.
Instead of blaming himself for his stupidity, he decided it was his lowly equipment's fault.
And so he whined and whined, until his parents finally gave him the permission to spend some money into the game's store. He bought himself a fancy assault rifle, along with plenty of flashy accessories and lots of ammunition. Yeah, he thought, those undead n00bz were going to get their shit kicked in.
He joined a server set on Hardcore, because he felt he was ready to take it. To his eyes, everyone else in there was an idiot that worked to earn their weapons. I mean, how lame was that? All he had to do was enter a series of numbers into the store's page to get himself some fancy gear. Yeah, he was the smart guy in there, with his new equipment making him some Hardcore badass with nothing to fear.
Unfortunately, he just had a hand full of rifle, a backpack full of mom's Visa, and a head full of empty.
Then he found an abandoned farmhouse in the barren wastelands, with a note on the door saying "Golden AK-47 on the upper floor". Pfft, he could buy two of them with a single mouse click, he thought.
But then, why should he leave it there for some noob to find it? I mean, he was the biggest badass in here, nobody else should have been armed with something that could match his glorious, paid weaponry. So he stormed up the stairs, and quickly entered the room marked by another note reading "Gold AK here".
Only, he found no shiny rifle. He found nothing. Almost.
His foot found a landmine.
He saw his left leg flying out the already-broken window, and the other one slamming onto a bookshelf filled with burnt tomes. He felt his body hitting the ceiling and falling back onto the floor. With his last health-point, he tried to crawl towards the door hoping to find a place where he could have bought new limbs, but the exit was blocked.
A grizzled man stood there, wearing old clothes, some rags, and holding a rusty hunting rifle. He aimed his gun at the dismembered boy and quietly said:
"Thanks for the free shit, kiddo."
to keep people away from camping various locations or spots they simply could do an systematic zombie infection thing where each area haves different amount of danger and each 10-30 minutes it changes drastically, so it feels like the infection is going on. So once you are camping there for people to kill you suddenly notice nobody comes into your area because its full of zombies and you cant get out.
Does this game have a Needs system? Post-Apocalyptic Zombie settings are not exactly post-apocalyptic without the constant threat of starvation, dehydration, hygiene and need to find a safe place to sleep.

I hope they let you go naked
So if this really happened in real life, what kind of profession or job that you had be the best for surviving?

farmer?
farmer?
Either farmer or doctor, imo
Bodyguard :v:
So if this really happened in real life, what kind of profession or job that you had be the best for surviving?
Most likely hunter.
Experienced about the woods, knows how to hunt, knows how to be silent, can most likely prepare his own food, can camp out and best of all, most likely has all the gear to survive.
Edit: And to all those fellas who think that being a soldier would be better than being a hunter, you're tied to orders as an soldier which means you will most likely die a gruesome death.

Well as a soldier you could always defect/go AWOL or whatever, but you'd only know how to use guns proficiently while yes, a hunter could shoot hunt cook etc.

If all of the officers are dead for some reason, and it's just you, then you've got a gun, ammo, food, water, and some other nifty supplies. :v:
That said, I would rather be a hunter.

point is; in the apocalypse zombies and other people aren't gonna be your primary concern
assuming you keep out of population centers (you'd be crazy if you didn't)

Yeah, but when the outbreak starts, you will most likely be showed to the front lines and die.
And as far as the equipment goes, everyone would try to kill you for your tacticool gear.
