Once the game hits beta I'll give out one of my guest keys instead of giving it out now for someone to forget about.
My launcher wont let me finish the first release that fast yet. It's still 300mb left.
Even if it's going to be updated directly afterwards, it's still downloading luckily.

I find that closing the updater then restarting it helps. I get a speed boost everytime I open it. Sometimes it stays fast. Open your resource monitor to monitor the bandwidth used by warz launcher. If it goes below 100,000 B/s restart your client.

Whenever I open the launcher I get the failed error, I assume once the servers are finished patching this would stop?
Honestly, all I think needs fixing is the weapon damage amounts and the constant crashing. Everything else is withstand-able, and it IS Alpha, too.
PvP is out of control, servers are pretty hard to join, constant crashing. Just those things need to desperately be fixed right now.
If it says "waiting for server", I'm pretty sure you all just have to wait for them to start the servers. Nothing you can do to 'fix' that.

I definitely think they should fix the PvP issue asap. All I have heard and seen from alpha gameplay is flashlight gang beatings. WarZ: flashlight simulator. (This could be new thread name when this one hits max :v:)

You have to either:
buy it cheap and play after 31oct,
buy it semi-cheap and play now,
or pay extra and recieve bonuses and play now.
You have to buy it to play. It's not a free-to-play game.

Once the flashlight rape is patched, this game will be golden for an alpha. I had great fun when I wasn't being bludgeoned to death with a mag-lite.

But seriously, melee weapons need to be toned down on the power, it's a complete mayhem right now.
The constant crashing pretty much encourages it, too.
"I got 5 minutes of playtime before I crash, better make it count. What should I do for fun?"
That and overpowered weapons, are the things that are causing this war.
