MY fucking god, i got this when i played it on my mom's laptop.
It was funny because one everything was running at 3x speed.
It doesn't do it on my crappy old laptop, and it also works fine with my steam version of deus ex.

dear sir, you win. This game is simply amazing. to anyone who hasn't played it, scrape together $10 and buy it now. Not only is the game itself fantastic, but the recently released mode, The Nameless Mod, breathes new life into it. Anyone who liked DX that hasn't played that mod should do so now. upwards of 20 hours of gameplay, completely non-linear, 2 storylines, well written, and with thousands of lines of dialogue. Took them seven years to make.

I don't know what "Dues Ex" is either, but I've heard of this game called Deus Ex, it's an FPSRPG and it owns pretty hard

Nah, they were developed by different companies. From what I've heard, Deus Ex is far better. By the way, the game is called "Deus Ex," not "Dues Ex."

I really don't see why people didn't like the first level, I didn't find it to be a bad level, I really liked how I could go wherever I wanted to, it's also really easy if you take the stealth approach, this game isn't meant to be played guns blazing balls to the walls anyway.

But it isn't the worst first level in all of history. In fact, it's just as awesome as all of the other levels in the game. The only reason why everyone hates it is because it doesn't ease you into the game at all. The later levels seem "better" because by then you've figured out your playing style and you know how to tackle each situation.
A lot of people go into Deus Ex expecting it to be another generic FPS where you run down a corridor shooting everything in sight. In that respect, the first level is disappointing because it's so open and offers you so many options for completing the mission.
I guess they could have made the first level "better" by dumbing it down so that new players aren't so overwhelmed, but then the game would have lost some of its replayability. I'm still finding new ways through that level when I play the game.
The first level is really hard and pretty boring the first time you play the game.
I can't wait for the sequel!
Deus Ex 3 is a prequel to the first game.

I wish there were more games like it, once you have played it you will realise that almost everything about it has died in games that are made now. Don't miss. First level bashing is because people didn't yet realise you have to do some of your own thinking in this game. It's also a great level.
Deus ex 3 looks... It looks like it could be awesome on it's own, but I don't see any resemblance to deus ex whatsoever. I am optimistic but I have a horrible feeling that it will have the name and nothing else, a bit like deus ex 2.
