I hate exclusive games in general, when I heard about Uncharted 2 I thought "Oh MY GOD, it's gonna be so awesome. Wait, I don't have a PS3. :saddowns:"
If you make the best console then WHY DO YOU MAKE IT 700 MONEYS.

And yes, I do realize that I said "moneys."
It's 299$ to buy a PS3 slim right now. It's not that expensive.
Dead Rising is 360 exclusive
Also, you're a cheap-skate.
I tend to get annoyed when a great game is PS3 exclusive, but I've learned to deal with it.
I bet you can't name another though.
As of now, no. But maybe no the future devs might actually bother more. Doubt it though :v:

It's $299.
It was expensive in the first place for a reason. Buy a cheap laptop, bluray player, and 360 and tell me if that's cheaper then PS3.
Also. PS3 exclusives are exclusive because the 360 can't run them.

Why a laptop? The PS3 isn't short on functionality, but that might be exaggerating a bit.

Errr no they aren't.
Sony try to make a deal with the games developers to release their games exclusively on the PS3. More exclusives means more games to justify buying a PS3 over an Xbox. It's got nothing to do with whether one console can run them or not.

I don't know who rated him dumb but he's right. Sure technically the PS3 is more powerful than the 360 but I don't think any games have used that full potential yet.
Why does everyone get mad when companies try to get people to buy their product instead of someone else's? It's just good business strategy. It's easier to make a game for just one console, and if it's good, it gets more people to buy the console.

I said laptop because it's internet accessible and I added shitty to that because obviously it's not as good as a laptop it only has internet access and stores media files.
I guess it would have been easier to understand if I said computer.

A couple games have been made that wouldn't be compatible on the 360. It doesn't seem like it but Uncharted 2 has some parts where there is too much going on for a 360 to deal with.
This video (starting a 4:07) for example.

The actual building your in has fallen along the whole city while your still playing the game. Physics and all.

Killzone 2 supports M+KB
this debate about "360 can run all" is stupid... you have fun with your 4 disc version of MGS4 with reduced viewdistance and dumbed down AI.
while you're at it, take Uncharted 2, despite y'all hating on the first.
oh, and ff13... waaaait... you already got that, and it's being downscaled for you... why ever would that be?
you also need to take into account that some of these exlusives are custom made and Lean on some points where the ps3 may have more to give... the same is done with 360, that's why 360 often has higher textures.
why the hell can't i spell already!!!
Hey, 360 users, think that PS3 users wish they had Halo or Gears of War? No... No, you probably didn't

Actually. A PS3 version of Gears wouldn't be bad ass. I don't need it because I have it for the 360, but think about it. You could upgrade most linear environments into broad exploratory ones, much bigger damage and destruction. I think it would be cool.
As for Halo... well lets leave that for another time.

Halo = Generic shooter.
Every platform has their really good shooter that defines itself as the base of all shooters that others should improve on.
They may not be the same from platform to platform but they are there.
Killzone series. It fucking deserves to be on the PC for how awesome it is.
...Yes, the PS3 has more power. How much more? Not that much, it's exaggerated by people who have too much stake in this fucking debate. Get over yourselves.
These fucking debates about console are the most pathetic thing on the internet.

And people call Halo a generic shooter, than follow through saying this?

i think the greatness it showed on the ps3 earned it the rights to stay off the pc... it think that's what it struggled to do in the first place, to prove PS is where it belongs.

Like i say, it's like little kids BAWWING about the fact that they have a blue car and that boy over there has a red one.
Killzone 2 supports M+KB
No it doesn't. I just tried.

That's hardly too much going on. Looks like what PhysX was built for, which both PS3 and 360 support.
I've always thought it was indicative that somebody really didn't know what they were talking about whenever they refer to "too much going on at once for ______". There's points where there'll be shitloads of NPCs onscreen at one time in Gears of War 2, crowds pathfinding without trying to walk through each other. 360 can handle that, but not a few rigid bodies being thrown about. Makes sense.
It's all about attracting customers. More games on PS3 that the 360 doesn't have is more reason to buy a PS3 over a 360. That's all there is to it, since Sony don't exactly have the upper hand on the development side of things.
Pain.

That video is three years old dude. It's not exactily indictive of where the PS3 stans as of now.
Jesus, this thread went exactly where I thought it would-- a giant console war hurr-fest. Thread should be locked. Hell, it shouldn't have existed in the first place.
sigh... waiting for the time when there is only one console and no exclusives :frown:
