Today was the press unveiling.
Yeah so where is the press!
The publisher confirmed to the media it will host an unveil event for the game on Mar. 1, 2011, taking place during the week of the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Additionally, EA says it will also have new game announcements as well as hands-on time with many upcoming titles, including: Shadows of the Damned, Alice Madness Returns, Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning, and Crysis 2. -double toast-
Unveiling TO the press. We are not the press.

Has been posted several times. The glitched BF theme at the end gives me shivers. :ohdear:
Ahh, sorry. I looked through the first ten or so pages and the last ten or so and didn't see it, should've looked further.
New video up. Looks amazing of course. http://www.ea.com/battlefield3/videos/faultline-ep1 March 16 is when the next one will be released.
Yay :D
Holy jesus the sound! :aaaaa:
I saw a what looks like a four part health bar there, looks like it rounds up to the bar above it.

Somebody help me clean up my room, it's all sticky and white.
To bad multiplayer won't be anything like the Campaign :(

I'm just really disappointed on the reload animation. Edit It's on gametrailers! http://www.gametrailers.com/video/fault-line-battlefield-3/711134
Didn't like the firefight, there was no sense of danger and it was overall cheesy.
At least they've finally got around to making a seperate reload animation when you still have a round chambered in your weapon.
holy moly that new vid is cool
Talking about what they showed at the EA event.
Im pretty sure all the Trijicon sights have backups.
I hope the DICE will switch their Acogs to M150 RCO (TA31RCO) as it's the one currently being used by the marines. It doesn't have backup sights as seen above and marines are taught to shoot with both eyes open so CQC isn't too problematic for them.
I loved the sound desing! Much better than the BC 2 sounds. I myself hated the slowing down, muffled sounds after explosions. The sound environments are much richer this time around. Cannot wait for part 2
Anything tagged is going to be in the upcoming videos. There will be QTEs in this game (as seen when you dragged that soldier).
Ugh, whatever I guess give me the MP already.
Copied and pasted from the other thread I posted in It looks like another shitty Frostbyte game. I hated Bad Company, I hated Bad Company 2, I hated Medal of Honor(Bad Company 2 v1.5). They're not bad games by any means but it doesn't feel like a Battlefield game and it looks like this one won't either. From what was released today, it's nothing like the Battlefield I knew from ten years ago. Everything is scripted to hell, the environment look very closed. On Kotaku right now there is an article named "Battlefield 3 resumes hostilities with Call of Duty" and basically it describes every bone I have to pick with DICE right now, these guys have seen Battlefield 3 in action, behind closed doors so I'd take their word for it. The lack of plans for an SDK doesn't help ease my frustrations because at least I knew with previous games that if they managed to fuck it up, the modding community would be there to fix it and they'd be able to add onto it.
where's my MP DICE
DICE wanted to show Battlefield 3's single-player first so they can probably save the best for last. Perhaps we'll see some multiplayer footage at EA's press conference at E3. It's kind of silly to judge the entire game based off of the single-player imo. Especially when you stated, "everything is scripted to hell, the environment look very closed."
I agree, I think they'll show it off later but all of the Frostbyte games DICE has released thus far have maps that are extremely similar, as if they cut the single player map in fourths and handed it off. Scripting is fine but I didn't exactly expect a single player mode, especially for a Battlefield (main series) title. Modern Combat had it, yeah sure but that was a console port and was completely separate from the actual PC release.

i don't really care so long as they keep MP as their main focus, a little SP won't hurt i suppose
Who cares if it has single player; apparently they have the largest team they have ever had on a Battlefield game working on BF3, I think they can handle it. Also, from what I've seen, the game looks wonderful; but this is all in single player, which means to some extent it can be scripted. How good destruction really is will come to light when multiplayer footage comes out, and perhaps not even then (beta will be the true judge of not only how good BF3 looks, but how it plays as well, unless it's a real beta).
