I'm enjoying SMB3 on my ps3 right now and it pisses all over many games released today. No insane engine bugs, no shitty VA with stupid cinematics that fail because it's just a japanese high-school, No stupid artifacting camera whenever i kill a goomba because "teh's cool". None'o'that. Just you and plain old gameplay. Super Castlevania 4 and Bloodlines for genesis is turning out cool too. Homebrew brah. Point: Stop saying shit just because it's old when it's obvious just how many of current day games are more shit than that.

I don't really consider NES part of the console generation. At the time is was one of the first home entertainment systems, we hadn't yet started the trend of console games versus computer games. It was all mostly new to the world. Now though you have pretty well defined communities and games between both primary platforms.

It's hard to get a bunch of engine bugs without actual physics or anything remotely advanced.
