It doesn't matter how large the BF3 team is, it matters how large it is in comparison to BF2. More assets will need to get made for the singleplayer, wheras if it was MP only all the developers could work towards making a hefty multiplayer experience.
They have enough resources to do both, and to do both really good. Dice was a smaller company during the BF2 era.

Besides, if they have the resources to do both good, then they could just focus on one of them and do it amazing. they've got animators, modelers, map designers and coders working on singleplayer, if they were diverted to work on multiplayer then there'd be more higher qaulity content in the multiplayer.
Uh, pretty sure you can drag in MP too. Oh and thanks for reminding me. I will be thinking of the worst places I can drag my wounded teammates to before the beta starts. :v:
It won't be in multiplayer. Thats already been confirmed. Imagine 50 animators working, that would require some tight management and perfect workflow. I guess they hit that perfect ratio on devs and transferred all other to SP part. With EA's deep pockets, I'm sure there's enough people working on BF3 team. [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline]
It won't be in multiplayer. Thats already been confirmed.
Btw
Awesome. Looks like some european country.
Awesome. Looks like some european country.
With break-dancing soldiers :v:
It would be truly epic. With a deferred lighting engine, you can have hundreds of light-sources. Imagine: Every tracer, a light-source, every muzzle flash, a shadow casting light-source, vehicle headlights explosions. Everything :fappery:
Hopefully we get this kind of shit:
Holy shit. I mean, the trailer was nice and all, but those WASD prompts, even if they;re from a quicktime event, make me very happy. It'[s not often that you get a game trailer recorded on a PC, even though it would be the best choice, so this really reaffirms my faith in DICE. Also: 'I'm up.' 'I'm up.' 'I'm up.' 'I'm fucked up, but I'm up.' awesome [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline] lol who the hell preordered, no, who the hell even bought MoH
Around 1 million people.
i don't think it was even 1 million, that game was such a huge failure
Awesome. Looks like some european country.
Paris. [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline]
i don't think it was even 1 million, that game was such a huge failure
No it was around 1 million, the game wasnt a failure, just wasnt the game expected. Edit: Actually, turned out to be closer to 1.5.
to be honest, body dragging probably wouldn't work too well anyway [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline] i can't wait to blow up some friendly jets engineer 24/7
Most people expect you to sell your console and the games for new parts.
Amazing how much time i wasted, watching you avatar...
must have been abandoned, hence the US helping out :smug: ya i just made that joke
Btw
I've read somewhere that it might be New York. Im not so sure though because that looks like Paris to me.
Doesn't really look all that special.
Hopefully we get this kind of shit:
You know, at that point, I would have just blown up the Mountain.
There better be China or EU, if I have to play another game with US versus Russians or *insert generic evil Arabic terrorists that all use AK-74s and RPG-7s*... [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline] Hell or even just Zimbabwe, whatever as long as it breaks the repetition. I know MEC was in BF2 and I'm fine with MEC, as long as they are MEC and not just terrorists/militia/guerrillas (because those in the Fault Line episode 1 sure as hell weren't a well armed coalition of Arabic states).
Doesn't really look all that special.
You've got to be kidding.
I guess you can just respawn and wait for them to get wounded to do the same thing? :v:
Or you can only drop the wounded one on a certain location. For example if you decide to drag someone, a marker appears at the nearest cover and says like "Drop the fucker here."
i don't think it was even 1 million, that game was such a huge failure
I think it ended up as 5 million
I think it ended up as 5 million
I'm quite sure it sold at least 2 millions, so yeah not exactly a failure.
I felt the SP and MP experiences were both pretty weak in Bad Company/s. Neither was particularly great. It seems as if DICE is going for the full package to secure as many sales as possible. There are people who just play games for the singleplayer so they add that. There are people who like to play with friends so they add co-op, and then of course there's the multiplayer feature. Also this isn't Medal of Honor. They don't have two completely different engines for the single and multiplayer. Most of the assets used in singleplayer will probably be used in multiplayer or vice versa so I don't see the problem.
You've got to be kidding.
From the gameplay video it looks like COD with shaky camera effects
From the gameplay video it looks like COD with shaky camera effects
Not really.
The single player did look a bit fast paced like COD. [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline] It looked good nonetheless and I will be buying it.
I thought you were dead
YOU THEIF! You're the reason I have the name I have! [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline] My poor misspelled name. :saddowns:
Not really.
Maybe its just me getting tired of all the military shooters
From the gameplay video it looks like COD with shaky camera effects
Last time i remember, Call of Duty had no destruction, no vehicles, nor new technology and awesome lighting, and of course, no large maps. I don't know what you think or whatever, but this looks more promising than the Call of Duty series.
How dare you mix up COD with BF?
