I did the same, does that make me badass?
I don't get how he's badass for playing a game at a certian age. I played AvP2 when I was young and the GTA games. I must be Hercules.
Remember myself playing GTA at a friends house at a relativly young age.
Blood sprouting out of the heads of people we headshot.
Ahhhh good times :allears:
Started to be really serious into PC-gaming after playing Runescape in the 4th grade :v:
I'd say my first introduction to PC gaming was Unreal Tournament 2004 and Half Life 2. I really got into PC gaming when TF2 came out.
Also I hope they release info on the factions that are in the game. I don't want to be just the Americans or Russians.
You my friend, you're totally badass :v:
Does it make it better then I was playing it on DOS? Also, I was 4 in 1995 so that was 2 years after it came out :D

I hope that's just some single player bonus, 'cause that looks bland and boring as fuck.
Also, the presenter seems to be playing on a controller, right?
Well I don't know about the US military, but at least around here (Finland) fresh officer candidates during the military service (and in possible real combat situations) and even us NCOs (I've received thorough artillery spotter training) are the main personnel designating targets for artillery on a regular basis. Mortars are even more common, everyday shit I say.
But unless you have a similar system in the USA, just ignore this :v:
Back in the 1980s US Army the guys responsible for calling in indirect fire were part of a specialist fire support team (FIST) with the observers attached to company level. Of course this system is actually inflexibile because fires can't be shifted easily by commanders at higher tactical levels since there's a whole lot of forward observers requesting artillery.
On the other side, the Soviet system has command observation posts headed by artillery subunit commanders. So if there is a target of opportunity, or fires need to be adjusted or lifted, each artillery commander is on the spot to order his firing unit to do whatever is appropriate. The upside is that the most experienced guys are calling the fires and is actually pretty flexibile, but this is all beyond the scope of a Battlefield game.
that doesn't make console gaming any less retarded

Oh nice.
Honestly, I never really got into Battlefield 2. 2142 is where I spent most my battlefield time. But I did play battlefield 2 alot...
I would check how much time but, the game wont install correctly (patch 1.5 is being a bitch) and it wont let me log into my soldier... so.. no support from EA either.
[editline]4th March 2011[/editline]
Just checked that website actually, I only have 21 hours in it. But I've got to have over 100 hours in 2142.
Yeah patch 1.5 is a cunt, not letting me play for more then 5 min. at a time on any servers
