RustySpannerz;28570740']I agree, but... Does everyone really respect you?
Everyone I know or talk to on a general basis anyway. I hope.
Well I do.
Well I do.
Love you man
it's called a ratio all they do is up the ratio to a fitting amount and it's just like it would be in 64
A ratio would mean that lower player count servers wouldn't have enough ammo. If 64 players (What the game is likely designed for) would be 1.0, then 32 players would only be at 0.5. That would mean only 1-3 rockets, when it takes that many just to destroy 1 tank (at least in BC2). Wait no that's wrong. In BC2 you get 4 rockets by default. Enough to destroy 1 tank, and with a light possibility 2. If 32 would have the 0.5 ammo ratio then you would barely be able to destroy 1 tank on your own.
You know what? I am gonna be so fucked off if my machine isn't good enough to run Battlefield 3.
Everyone I know or talk to on a general basis anyway. I hope.
I think your a cunt. [editline]12th March 2011[/editline] Nah you seem ok. Anyway as for BF3, I agree with the people saying it would end up as a clusterfuck purely because, the game hasnt been developed with 128 players in mind, everything would be a huge unbalanced mess. We might even be able to enable it anyway, but I dont see why the huge response to it is warranted.

I think you will find they were on about player:vehicle ratio, not player:ammo. So if a map has 12 vehicles at 64 players, it has 6 at 32 and 24 vehicles at 128 players.
You know what? I am gonna be so fucked off if my machine isn't good enough to run Battlefield 3.
That's why you should do like me, buy a brand new gaming computer for $2500 :v:
A lot of people seem to forget that this game is not finished yet! It can still go both ways. Yes, Dice are making the game on a 64-player basis. Does that mean we know how the game would be with 128 players? No! We have yet to see the maps, get any information on the guns, or anything! Stop trying to reason about a game you know next to nothing about.
Wait so if I reinstall project reality I'll see 128 player servers? Or was that just a stress test on the developer end?

All of this I already said before.
RustySpannerz;28573108']I hope you're joking.
I got no gaming computer at all, so no I'm not joking.
I want 10000 vs 10000
That is the dream MMO. A huge persistent world, with 20,000 people duking it out, and with politics and stuff like that too.
That is the dream MMO. A huge persistent world, with 20,000 people duking it out, and with politics and stuff like that too.
Outerra Engine.
I got no gaming computer at all, so no I'm not joking.
I mean, that's a little expensive. All you'll get for that kind of money is stupid parts that will be outdated in a couple of years anyway. [editline]13th March 2011[/editline]
That is the dream MMO. A huge persistent world, with 20,000 people duking it out, and with politics and stuff like that too.
I would play MMOs if they had things like that. If I could work my way to the top so that players actually came to me for orders, it would be awesome. Working your way up would be hard, but worth it.
Wait so if I reinstall project reality I'll see 128 player servers? Or was that just a stress test on the developer end?
Still running I think. Forgotten Hope 2 has a 128 slot server up now as well.
Also considering the fact they are bringing multiple BF2 maps back and I'd say the scale is going to be a little bit larger than BF2 maps, 128 players would still be unwieldy.
I hope the bring back Dalian Plant, but expanded aww :flashfap:
Helicopters need to be spawnpoints the way they where in BF2142, I think that would solve some of the large map and 128+ ppl issues, having that and pilots that when they dropped a person off and if they get points within say 1 minuet they receive 20% of points (Obviously not taking the 20% from the other guy though)

Spawn on the helicopters and jump out right above the base. The yaw limit to aircraft was ridiculous in 1942/Vietnam. You could go so high up and not see the ground, that was why you could never get shot down.
If its just hovering there hit it with a Tracer dart and pow, Heli is going to die!
I don't think they had tracer darts in Vietnam. Nor you could not see it from ground level cause it was so high up.
Did anyone get into the BF3 booth at PAX East? I'm not in the Gun Club, so they wouldn't let me in.
I don't think they had tracer darts in Vietnam. So is everyone going to have Wolverine powers like in CoD? Or is there actually a health-limit
