As long as grenades and the knife get their own weapon slot I'm going to like it.
Fuck that stupid all one slot shortcut-retard mode nade-spam insta-knife bullshit COD created.
If that's the case, I imagine some people are going to create key binds where it will turn into that.
Everyday without content makes this thread a shit storm. Dice, your killing us here.

You guys are owed nothing, you are nothing more than the consumer, the developers are the ones who own this game, this is their game, not yours. Lose your stupid sense of entitlement.
Right, it's a stupid sense of entitlement only if you dislike Project Reality. If you like it though its a worthwhile suggestion, got it.
I just don't want to see such a great series like Battlefield get ruined by dumb ideas in the name of realism.

No, actually, it's stupid because you aren't really entitled to much.
BF3 isn't your game, you didn't design it and you have no real say in it's actual design and creation, let alone of BF itself as a series. There's a difference from caring as a fan, and than going "MY BATTLEFIELD GAMES".
Also, what is so bad about PR?
People have like, opinions man.
But it just is a fact you need to be somewhat intelligent to play PR.
It can be fun at times, but also raging ballhard.
If you want to lower your own efforts and have more fun in a shorter timespan you play the vanilla games.
It's a love/hate thing really.

Thanks for repeating the same post over again, I will repeat what I said as well: Suggesting something from Project Reality is all fine and swell, but when you say it doesn't belong in a Battlefield game (because Battlefield games are meant to be arcade titles, I don't need to be a developer to know this much) you suddenly have a stupid sense of self-entitlement. Some people want realism, I don't want realism. Simple as that. Stop getting upset over words.
I hope this isn't late, but people take advantage of this!

Looking at the last pages, you are the one getting upset.

Also how did we end up on realism? Weren't we discussing player count?

Aren't Autism and ADHD the polar opposite of eachother?
Wow, for a reality game, the Project Reality community is awfully immature.
Making jokes about ADHD and autism? Low man, low.

I'm quite sure they don't represent the PR community (nor do you represent the BF community).
Aren't Autism and ADHD the polar opposite of eachother?
ADHD is classified as an autism disorder.
Autism is just the general "collection" of all the social and or physical dysfunctions.
Can't we start talking about BF3 instead of PR? It's not the BF series megathread, it's the BF3 thread.
Also a solution to the elitist problem. Find better servers. Don't keep playing on a server full of /k gunnuts with antisocial disorders and armchair general attitudes.

Going by this thread alone makes it seem like most PR players are anti-social.

It is a BF3 thread
Going by this thread alone makes it seem like most 1942 players are anti-social.
Going by this thread alone makes it seem like most PR players are anti-social.
That is not entirely true. Most servers just can't stand idiocy and are of the do-not-forgive-nor-forget attitude.
It's generally accepted if you make a small fuckup, any good squad leader will forgive you and just game on. If you're under a squad leader that just keeps bitching, gets angry and boots players for the slightest mistake, find another squad. If the entire server behaves like him, leave the server.
Most SL's are friendly and the others are the "sooper sirius" kind. Avoid them unless you want to feel "professional".
This is a Battlefield-in-general thread now.

It needs more 1942 :smith:

It starts to feel like you have some personal vendetta against PR and/or it's community.
Also having played PR, there's more teamwork in PR than in BF2, so wouldn't that make the community more social?
I'm going to need a better PC to run Bf3
who wants to lend me some money

bomb cars are fun
I like the radio
I don't like realism games but I don't go around hating on PR in particular. It's just another realism shooter. People were suggesting things that seemed like bad ideas in my eyes for a Battlefield game with the reasoning that it's from PR, so I made the comment I don't want stuff from PR. If anything it seems the PR community (atleast in this thread) has a vendetta against me because I don't love their mod.

You don't understand.
Having much better teamwork has alienated their community. They hate newbies with a passion because they fuck up a lot, while forgetting they used to do the same. In short, it created a sort of "elitism" problem, to say the least.
PR is trying to get rid of that part of the community but the elitists are the fat neckbeards that just keep coming back to yell at others. Me, and a large part of my PR buddies hate them with a passion. Teach a newbie how to play medic, he'll help you. Teach him how to handle a heavy-AT rocket, he'll save you. Teach him how to fly? He will win the game for you.

But the way they made the mod is so there's actually teamwork :saddowns:
I think there are plenty of ways to create a teamwork environment without making a game about realism, which would push a lot of the core battlefield fans away I think.

MAG tried that approach, and failed miserably. Partially because they lied about game mechanics (herp derp 256 in one map is the same as splitting the map up in four separate parts herp derp)
