I like the way they haven't showed the playing picking up weapons, does this mean it's not going to be simply hitting f and the weapon appearing in your hands, but you actually reach down and pick it up?
no it's probably going to be pressing f and picking it up... that's probably why they didn't show it, to keep immersion

Oh God I loved the hell out of he voices that automatically played according to different situations, and especially how they made many variations. I never get tired of hearing the "Let the bodies hit he floor!" everytime a killing spree is made or a nade blows up 2-to-4 guys.

Is it just me or do BF3 look very realistic from what i saw from their latest video :O
does this game have the same "Build your own class" system of BC2? or something different?
We don't know hardly anything about multiplayer so far, including how classes are set up, though I vaguely remember something about the same 4 classes as BC2.
"Buggy and WIP" means nothing, and is a broad statement. I'm assuming (and rightfully so) that their netcode must be done or be very near completion, "buggy and WIP' likely means theres still some annoying registration and lerp discrepancies. they've probably got a fair number of maps done. What may still be buggy would probably be the class selection UI, and some maps may not be fully complete. Either way, there'd be enough to show, even if they needed to hide the buggy parts by cutting it out of the footage.
We don't know how long the game has actually been in development nor do we know what's done and what's not done. The game is still in pre-alpha, which means it's buggy and far from done, and I'm sure they want to make mp awesome before they show it. Finally, it's all about hype, if they showed mp first then we wouldn't be so hyped up about it, nor would it seem as special at release. Personally I only want to see a small ammount of mp footage, so when the game is out I will (hopefully) suprised and amazed.
I love how human they are, rather than everyone speaking like military robots.
Indeed, I especially love the "revenge" voices when you finally nail that guy who has been killing you for the last 2-4 deaths. Really adds ambiance to the game, makes you also notice how much love they have put in developing the game
MW2 "RAMERIAZ, WE ARE OSCAR MIKE OUT OF THE DANGER ZONE. STAY FROSTY EVERYONE" BC2 "LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR" The latter still makes me laugh every time I hear it
I like the suppressing fire effect though. Adds more tactics to the game.
It'd be cool if DICE included the Frostibite system on bodies and characters, getting a sniper headshot would be so more satisfying.
Left 4 Dead on Frostbite would be awesome :v:
Oh god, the Tank... Nowhere to to hide :ohdear:
Left 4 Dead on Frostbite would be awesome :v:
I would probably get a stroke from the realistic looking graphics. Not initially playing, but when a jockey, hunter, witch or a charger comes at you... :ohdear:
Still not liking the 4 classes thing again, how thats the "Sweet spot" is beyond me. What was wrong with BF2s?
I think BF2's could have used a little consolidation. Engineer combined with anti-tank is a no-brainer really. I dunno about support remaining it's own class either. 2142 got it right: 4 classes with 8 distinct trees and a weapon at the end of each tree.

I'm holding off till we get more information. It just seems.. iffy to me. Less grenades on classes as well, it should be restricted to assault/engineer.

Especially on Karkand at the beginning when everyone is going for the small confined areas, it literally starts raining grenades.
I got a 6 core overclocked to 3.8 ghz with a 280, do you think I'll run this atleast on high or medium-high? I think I might since I can run BFBC2 at high.
damn, the gifs are awesome!

Bruno Mars would have a fun time.

I've heard a rumor that "Back to Karkand" will be paid-for DLC at launch. Are they seriously going to do launch DLC for this game?

Don't know why support would be rolled up with another class.

So yeah, they might do. But going by DICE in the past, hopefully they will make it free for people who bought the game new. A much more effective DRM than whatever they insist on using.
It sucks how in these videos you see the other characters running and sliding, stacking up on walls, knocking doors down...yet all you do is stand there. I don't see any reason why there should be a little slide ability you can do when you are sprinting and try to go into crouch mode.

That would be nice, but wouldn't feel Battlefieldish...
