Okay, so anyone got the specs needed to run this at all? I need some shit to know where I should upgrade to Anything guys?
Am I the only one kind of annoyed by the presence of a killcam? It seems really cheap to me.
I don't like killcams either. As long as they make it so snipers aren't OP there shouldn't be a need.
Am I the only one kind of annoyed by the presence of a killcam? It seems really cheap to me.
I'm sure there will be a hardcore mode, or at least the option to turn it off in regular matches. (I'm pretty sure you can already do that in BFBC2)
Anyone remember parachuting down minuscule distances in BF2? And also falling for miles and using the parachute 10cm over the ground, so to survive.
I hope they change that. It will be so hilarious when people bail out of fighters, pull the parachute 10cm from ground, and then splat into the ground for everyone to see. It'd also be fucking hysterical if your parachute would shoot out of your exploded corpse even if you died after pulling the cord. *pull-SPLAT*.......... ...*phoomph*
I just got an awesome idea of how after being hit by a missile, a helicopter pilot would look down at his seat belt and undo it, look towards the door, show their hand frantically open the door, and then tumble out, flipping end over end, as the helicopter spins away. Games have a long ways to go in animations. Maybe I'm thinking too big. It would be nice if people actually tumbled out of moving vehicles instead of just being "dropped" from the point they exit from.
You cannot really bail from a helicopter, that is why they are taught how to auto-rotate. The Russian KA-52 actually has ejectors that blow the rotors off and then ejects the pilot and gunner.
Okay so no graphics info great v:v:v [editline]21st March 2011[/editline]
You cannot really bail from a helicopter, that is why they are taught how to auto-rotate. With optimization taken into account, I would imagine you would want a GTX 480 and a good quad core to run it well on high settings.

I'm not in a mood of reading 20 or more pages, so I'll just ask, we will be able to play in the PS3 multiplayer with split screen?
I like it because it encourages snipers to relocate
Because snipers in BF2 were so impossible to spot *rolleyes*
Nah just get a gtx 240, you wont need to go to a 480
Dumb the 240 is ludicrously obsolete. If you are buying a new GPU the 480 would be the bare minimum I would suggest.
Dumb the 240 is ludicrously obsolete. If you are buying a new GPU the 480 would be the bare minimum I would suggest.
and if you're going to get the 480, get a 570 instead, for the performance is about the same despite the slightly lower memory, but it hasn't the drawbacks of the 480.
I like it because it encourages snipers to relocate
Even though that goes against what sniping is about; snipers weren't even a huge problem in BF2
Dumb the 240 is ludicrously obsolete. If you are buying a new GPU the 480 would be the bare minimum I would suggest.
Oh my bad, we are talking about different things. Whoops.
Dumb the 240 is ludicrously obsolete. If you are buying a new GPU the 480 would be the bare minimum I would suggest.
why is the 240 obsolete
Because there are better cards out.
Because there are better cards out.
For a comparable price? People aren't made of money you know.
It's still obsolete
Obsolescence is the state of a being which occurs when an object, service or practice is no longer wanted even though it may still be in good working order.
2142 classes were perfect, and they shoulda just stuck with them in all games after it.
It's still obsolete
who says the 240 is unwanted
Am I the only one kind of annoyed by the presence of a killcam? It seems really cheap to me.
Killcam doesn't belong in the Battlefield franchise.
i thought a trailer would come tods [editline]21st March 2011[/editline] today
how do you get tods from today
I have a hard time playing fps games without a killcam, then i can see if people cheat / where they are / what they were doing.
I have a hard time playing fps games without a killcam, then i can see if people cheat / where they are / what they were doing.
but then it ruins everything, they will just come back and take revenge, which is incredibly annoying because they should not have known where you were in the first place
I hate killcams cause when I'm a wookie, they just figure out that I'm a bush and start shooting at me >:(
Makes me sad when I spend a few minutes getting into a perfect position, drop a few guys, then suddenly everyone knows where I am.
A better soundscape is perferrable to killcams.
If the maps are big enough you probably won't see camping as a problem anyway, hence, no need for a killcam.
